Beautiful pillows - love the colors and the designs. I will definitely take a look at them!

PS (to Laurel)... It's pronounced "shin" not "chin"

Such great advice Julea...I know that some of my realtors advise to put a delineating object/flag etc on the property's exterior - to help people find it - it's so important to have the home be visible at night. I can't tell you how many times I have found it difficult to find home numbers at night...so if I can't find the home, neither can prospective buyers (even if they have better eyesight!)

Great advice...as always,

Linda

I am almost finished with a gift for my readers and followers - an e-guide on how to choose the right colors for your rooms. But I need a little help - tell me what you are struggling with...what problems have you encountered when choosing colors. Comment, email me or go to the blog link below and let me know your concerns, so I can answer them in the e-guide. Thanks a bunch!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone (a few days early!) How are your preparations going? I am having 16 people...plus my little 2 ½ year old granddaughter for a big feast this Thursday. Lots to do! Here's a recent vacant staging project we did in Dix Hills NY that sold very quickly.

These are great a Julea! I'd add this one, a sign I saw in a home for sale (by a realtor no less)..."An Old Crab Lives Here!"

Check out my blog today - a wonderful guest post from my friend Jo Lee of Swedish Interior Design - on the benefits of buying handmade furniture.
Well-crafted, handmade furniture is so much better than the cheap antique reproductions that are out today. We should hesitate before buying MDF repros - here's why.

Story
Tagline
I am a design blogger, decorative artist, designer and home stager
Introduction
I have always loved music and the arts - and for the last 13 years, I have been pursuing them more fervently.  I write a design blog, The Colorful Bee and I own a decorative painting and design company, Studio of Decorative Arts - and a home staging company - Beautiful Staged Homes.  My artistic skills enable me to quickly revamp a single room...or any home that is for sale - without expensive demolition or costly replacement.

I love creating something out of nothing - I have been doing it my whole life.  If I have a blank sheet of paper - I'll create art, music or poetry.  A blank wall will always become something especially beautiful, if someone gives me a few hours to work on it.

I am learning to use technology (I am blogging and tweeting!)...but I'd rather be designing, painting and staging...& singing!
Bragging rights
My designs and decorative painting projects have been featured in books, online magazines and design sites, newspapers and design blogs such as: Houzz, Newsday, HGTV.com, Living With Wine, Royal Design Studio design blog and many others. I also write my own music (and I am in a band, Under the Influence, where we play mostly 60s through 90s acoustic music. I also write comedy - especially funny songs. I did stand up for several years in NYC. I was picked among 1000s of performers to be on "America's Funniest People"
