I got up so late today, the sun was ready for a nap by the time I had coffee.

I need a new tag. While waiting (endlessly) for my cover to be completed, I am working on creating the audio book for "Hunchback" It's good to be able to just read to myself each morning. I enjoy it. So.. #AmRecording ? #AmAudioing ? I feel like I #amoverthinking LOL.
For some reason, although I see the little things that could be improved, when I record my story, I am not as critical as when I am just plain editing the written word. I see the logic errors too. Unfortunately by the time I get to recording, I don't want to change anything anymore. I'm sick of editing. It's a good thing, and a bad thing, and a thing that forces me to just accept what I've written and move on.

Here it is from the mouth of a Google Exec you fucking asses. The next time you want to spread rumors, check yourself, shut down your computer and go do something worthwhile, like volunteering for trash pickup.

From The Book Of Lyveren. Chapter 3: Getting To The Point #AmWriting

Lyveren's sleep was far more restful than the previous night. The combination of a good long walk and the control it took to face a slew of new situations allowed her to drop off quickly. She awoke before the sun. This was not unusual. This time, however, when her stomach growled, she didn't have to remind it to be silent until breakfast. She all but snatched up the covered remnants of dinner and inhaled a decent portion, having to remind herself that she still had to practice her skills before heading out on her escort quest today. She splashed some water on her face, swallowed a handful and picked up her javelin.

The dark felt close and comforting as she stretched her muscles in the cool air. Certainly it was much warmer here, but she was grateful for it. When false dawn began to illuminate her, she was doing the careful Pa movements that mimicked fighting moves, but much slower. Her neck hair rose and she realized, there were eyes upon her. Without stopping, she let her eyes drift and spied a girl child, just out of her bed, standing in the doorway of the stable.
Lyveren stopped her last movement and turned to the child, who looked hesitant, as if she was ready to flee at the slightest growl of rebuke from an adult. Instead, Lyveren bowed to her and took a knee. Then she beckoned to the child.

"You are up very early. Does your mother know you're out here?"

The girl shook her head slowly. Her voice was as soft as the first partridge cry early in the morning.

"I don't have a mum. Only Gran."
Lyveren's eyebrows rose.

"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that. Do you get up early every day?"
A shy nod was her response.

"Would you like to learn what I am doing?"

Another nod, but this one more vigorous. Lyveren cast about with her eyes and spotted a stick just the length of the girl's arm.

"Ah ha. Here is what you need."
The child looked puzzled, "A stick?"

Lyveren's hand patted the girl's shoulder, "Never underestimate the power of a good stick. Let's begin."

And so Lyveren gained a companion. The child watched Lyveren's movements and copied them as well as she could. Lyveren corrected her stance only slightly and found to her delight that the child learned swiftly. By the time the sun's first ray hit the horizon they were finishing their first Pa in harmony. Lyveren took a deep breath and let it out slowly, lowering the javelin at the same time.

"And now we are done. Do you have time for one more task?"

The child nodded vigorously, now smiling broadly at her new teacher.

"I want you to find a broom and sweep the area we have practiced in. We should try never to leave an area disturbed by our presence. That means cleaning up as we go. We can learn more about that later, but right now I must get dressed and go to work. You did well."

A bright joy lit up the child's face and Lyveren wondered how much, if any, praise, the little one received in a day. The ray of sunshine stretched out its hand and reminded Lyveren to her duty.
