3:45 I've heard a lot of people complain about Sam and Gilly leaving by cart instead of by sea. I'm not sure why this is an issue. Castle Black doesn't have a water inlet, and if it did, it'd likely be frozen due to Winter's near arrival, so taking a cart to Eastwatch and then taking a ship from there makes more sense. They've got to get to a ship, and walking to it makes zero sense.

I'm sorry, but the battle of the ninepenny kings has to be the best story, where you get teenage Ned, Robert and Rhaegar, Barristan earn his moniker of "the bold", a more dapper, less mad Mad King, a slightly less surly Tywin, his beautiful Joanna, their baby twins, and Hoster Tully and Jon Arryn being all badass.

Not to mention, outright Blackfyre war on the stepstones. There's seriously so much awesome in the era.

Why don't you think the show would go to Skagos? Bran, Meera and Osha talk about going to the Bay of Seals in, I think, S03E08 (or near enough to the Red Wedding episode), to which Osha says it would take weeks or months to get there, but only a mere few episodes later, they separate, so she knows where to go, she's got Wildling/Freefolk blood, and it makes sense for show-her to do the same as what Manderley suggested he'd be informed of in the Davos chapters of ADWD.

I genuinely think that Rickon and Osha with show up either on Skagos, or having been there, and that it will be they who reclaim Winterfell. I think that it'll continue to be the subject of turmoil until that happens.

Oh, and I think we'll find that the Skagosi are the most like Starks of all people, more like the first men.

Interesting to see how many heroes and villains each kill their own. Some of these guys it seems go around killing more allies than foes.
Traditionally, most Marvel super heroes don’t kill. Notable exceptions include Wolverine, the Punisher and Deadpool, but the aim of most of the others is to preserve as many innocent lives as possible. Yet there are times when there are no other options, and the greater good is served by ending one life to preserve others. […]

So now that we know he means to solidify his northern control by marrying off Sansa to Bolton, and essentially being the one who's thanked for having done so, what's his next conquest? We know he's now en route to KL on behest of Cersei, but I don't suspect there's much more we can see from it all, at least until the High Sparrow has done some more imprisonings and such.

I've said it before:

The Battle of the Ninepenny Kings.

The reason for this is that you can start from the ashes of the Tragedy of Summerhall and it could bridge across the 24 years of Rhaegar's life, but with the centrepiece being the Ninepenny Kings, with some foreshadowing for Robert's rebellion, and some history from people discussing King Aegon V's reign, some in positive lights, and others in negative lights.

I prefer this to the idea that she'll kill Walder Frey. I think there'd be some poetic justice in that, but it makes more story sense for Jaime Lannister to kill Frey, given he's in the Riverlands, as at the end of ADWD.

The idea that the Faith enlist Sandor in the Faith Militant and thus call upon him to represent them in Cersei's trial would be fitting, because he would simply be doing his duty for the Faith, plus they would know that despite his consecration, a greater degree of catharsis may be achieved for him by achieving retribution for his scars.

But roughly as Ramsay put it last year, if we expect a happy ending, we haven't been paying attention. Hell, the Mountain will probably take the iron throne, now that the show has pretty well for sure miked of Jon and we'll likely see Dany gotten rid of early next year.

Then again, bring on Winds of Winter.
