Ello Bill of Rights: https://bill-of-rights.ello.co/
Ello was created by a group of seven friends as a beautiful & ad-free social network, an alternative to the status quo.
We’d become fed up with the big social networks that were cluttered with ads, boosted posts, and that were clearly more interested in collecting as much data as possible about us rather than building a positive, inspiring community.
The situation has become like George Orwell’s 1984 — corporations record everything we do, and sell us to the highest bidder for profit, manipulation, and control.
Today, in honor of the spirit of U.S. Independence Day, we’ve released The Ello Bill of Rights for social networks.
It outlines 10 basic rights that all social networks should adhere to. These include the rights to privacy and transparency, the right to control and own what you post, and the right to delete your account permanently at any time.
If you agree with these principles, please sign the Bill of Rights and let other networks know that you demand a change.
And check out Ello. There is a better way.
