Without light, there would be no shadows. And without shadows, there would be no celebration of Groundhog Day.

Today, Punxsutawney Phil did see his shadow, predicting 6 more weeks of winter rather than an early spring. Though in some parts of the country, including Lighting Supply country (in a suburb of Detroit), having winter end in mid-March could still be considered an early spring.

So ... who's celebrating today by watching the movie "Groundhog Day"?

Thomas Edison and light bulbs are coming to the big screen in "The Current War." Benedict Cumberbatch (British) plays Thomas Edison (American). Interesting, given the history of claims about who invented the light bulb. (Edison arguably didn't; but he did make it commercially viable.)
