Thank you for this honest feedback and our apologies if your experience with us has been less than perfect . The Glidecam HD4000 you rented is working perfectly fine (it went through a full check after you dropped it off, which is our regular procedure). Our team refunded you nonetheless to show you sign of goodwill and kindness. We pride ourselves in carrying equipment in top notch condition and take time to check all gear that comes back to make sure it goes out in perfect condition for our next renter, that's the reason why we don't rush check when our fellow filmmakers return their orders. We're a boutique shop and take great pride in taking care of our clients.
As any steadicam, gimbal or stabilizers, the Glidecam HD4000 is not that easy to use or set up and requires fine tuning and adjustments when doing so. We understand it can be frustrating indeed but it has nothing to do with the actual equipment.
When renting a piece of gear that you've never used before, we recommend spending more time during check out and asking our technicians any questions you may have so they can show you how to properly learn how to use.
