You can't always get what you want, but you can at least have some fun trying.
Asking for a favor can be scary because, in many cases, you're asking to be rejected. If someone can't (or doesn't want to) help you, there isn't much you can do about it.

Several of your examples look exactly like spam comments I've received on my blog, only better worded and they don't ultimately result in being directed to malware.
Gotta love the hacks for life. I think this comes more naturally to some though
{Erika says} All kidding about spam aside, I have actually tried to teach my kids this particular skill - how to ask for things in a way that makes the other person want to do them. Very useful life skill, whether you're asking your parents for an advance on your allowance or you're asking your boss for a job or you're asking a prospect for $$.
Good article, but I have to say it's just another tool for manipulative pricks to use (not that all people who use it are manipulative pricks).
