This week's featured desktop still has style and a dash of Rainmeter, but takes minimalism to a whole new level:

I started having nothing on my desktop 10 years ago.
I still do it on my home laptop, work laptop, and yes, even my (Android) phone.
One of my favorite tools for Windows 7 is Fences ( which lets you clean up your desktop. One really nice feature is that you can double-click the desktop to hide ALL icons, then double-click to bring them back. So if you like saving files to your desktop but hate the cluttered look, this is a great tool.
