If this is the move, we have work to do. Most of these throws are picks in the NFL. Good thing we have a lot of quarterback specialists on our coaching staff.

Well, I'm not in the DC community, and we all love super heroes. So I'm venting here. Saw BvS tonight. What a disappointment. Almost made me less excited for Civil War, because they fell into the trap CW might... trying to fit way too much content into a single film. It was a disjointed, convoluted mess IMO. What a shame.

+Liam Slack I don't disagree with that either. All I'm saying was that the casting was the first indication that the movie was going to suck. The creative decision make was flawed from the beginning.

Quite frankly, I don't think Gal Gadot was as good pick for Wonder Woman either. Sure she's hot and all, but she also just another pretty starlet with a sword.

Nevertheless, the build up if BvS was great, then it all went to epic garbage in the denouement...

I knew it was gonna be a flawed and corny take on DC as soon as they announced that Ben Afflick was going to play Batman. I instantly thought of George Cloney Batman. While Batfleck wasn't nearly as campy he was still chessy AF...

Today's completely unnecessary project: a mini Beatles amplifier. I had a Zinky Smokey Amp laying around - the speaker had broken years ago. I also had a speaker laying around, but it was too big to fit the Zinky enclosure.

So I installed the electronics and speaker in a tin from a set of Beatles coasters, and ended up with the coolest mini amp ever. :)

How does it sound? Like a Smokey Amp. But it's more about the novelty than anything.

+Liam Slack Yeah many do,some players are great at rolling volume up and down for solos,OD boost etc,but I like to have all pups at max and tones at bright and then use my pedals. Its just a personal preference and been doin it 40 yrs so no desire to change.Cheers.

Phil Simms just said "his speed and long arms helped him DO HIS RESPONSIBILITY PERFECT." I'll even miss you, Phil.

A true professional. Say what you want about his play, but he's a class act.

Hey, it turns out JJ made Ep VII derivative intentionally. Which many of us around here had already guessed, and many others have complained about. Frankly, I think it was the absolute best move he could have made.
The day the door of the Millennium Falcon fell on Harrison Ford, shattering his ankle, everyone thought Star Wars: The Force Awakens was doomed. But it turns out, the opposite happened. Co-writer and director J.J. Abrams recently revealed this delay helped him refocus the film’s most important relationship: Finn and Rey.

Not my favorite Super Bowl ever, but the season was fun. Football friends on G+ kept things interesting. Thanks for the memories. See you next year - or more likely next week when we start talking draft strategy. :)

Well, maybe the Late Show will be entertaining. Right? RIGHT?

I'm wrong about football often enough, but I am seldom AS wrong as I was about this game coming in. Carolina is making errors they shouldn't, and Wade has Cam's number. This is a game.

I'd initially given Power a 4 star review. The product is good, the installation wasn't without its hiccups, but it ended up fine. I've amended it to 3 stars because in dealing with the company reps we often felt like we were being strong armed or manipulated. Their sales rep was here for 5 HOURS the first night. The quote he finally gave us was only good for that evening - the price went up $2000 if we didn't sign on the spot. We did. Then we terminated the agreement to get a second quote, because we felt we had the right to know what options were available to us. We got the second quote, Power matched it, and we re-signed. They sent out a Quality Assurance rep before the job was even finished. His half-hour appointment lasted an hour and a half, and it consisted mostly of him trying to upsell us on additional products and services we repeatedly told him we didn't need. He was personable, and even rolled his eyes at how long the first guy was here, then did exactly what the first guy did - over stayed his welcome and tried to get us to commit. Power collects ratings while the QA rep is in the customer's home - and before the (second) hard sell. Knowing their sales practice makes me loath to use their services again.
