Another box ticked for Ubuntu phones. Looks like I might be leaving Android behind this year...
Ubuntu Touch already has a large number of native apps and more are added every day. The platform needs as many applications as possible and now it's Telegram’s turn to land in the Ubuntu Store.

Why is Google+ so slow these days?  Infact why are all Google websites so slow these days? They made Google Search load so fast, literally made website speed their entire mission statement.  Yet the rest of their websites are some of the slowest websites on the entire internets.

Fix Yo Shit Googs.

This is so typical. I literally started learning Angular a few weeks ago. Started building my new website in it. Now it's all changing and I will have to re-write the thing haha.

Exactly like when I started to learn Ruby on Rails, exactly as they moved to a big new version with breaking changes and all the documentation online was wrong.

I have a nack for it.  I really do!

That said Angular is awesome and I will stick with 1.3 for now and re-write later in the year.

There's a new AngularJS 2.0 in town, read all about it: http://buff.ly/1wFB7NI
In this article Preetish Panda examines some of the new features in AngularJS 2.0, including AtScript, improved dependency injection and a brand new router.

This is NOT a good sign.

"Google no longer requiring OEMs to encrypt Lollipop-running devices by default" http://www.androidauthority.com/google-not-requiring-encryption-default-591724/
When Android 5.0 Lollipop was announced, Google originally required OEMs to encrypt devices by default. While the company has seemingly changed their minds on the encryption method, Google will likely re-enable it in a future OS version.

Google can simply force OEM  to switch encryption by default. OEM will have no choice but  to use a chip that supports encryption in the hardware.

IMO, google backtracking this decision means they have little leverage into forcing OEM hands.

Wow. Went here today. Had the Hot Chorizo grilled cheese sandwich. Best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had!

What a great little place this is. Went for lunch a few days ago completely on the spur of the moment. The restaurant itself is quite interesting. We went downstairs to eat which was nice. The gourmet pizza selection is great. I've not had pizza like this before. I can't wait to go back and try another!

Went here for lunch today. The booked in advance which was lucky because it looked like every seat in the restaurant was taken, and it seats a decent number of people! The interior decor is great. Really colourful and funky. Felt like I had left a cold, rainy Manchester and was somewhere else entirely for lunch! The service was fast, amazing really considering how busy they were. The food was amazing. I really enjoyed it. They do take away too, which is great. I can see this becoming a regular thing!

Popped in for lunch recently. As a United fan obviously I was right at home. The cafe itself is full of Manchester United memorabilia, the walls plastered with famous quotes and the chairs have players names on the back. But even if you're not a fan of the football I can still fully recommend you visit for the food. The service was polite and quite fast. The quality of the food was very good. Also managed to get a great price using my "popular dining club card". (T*s*ecard).

I really do like TGI Friday's. This one whilst looks small from outside, is absolutely huge inside. We went for lunch at the busiest time of the day, in a Manchester full with Christmas shoppers. We walked in and it was heaving. I was expecting a long delay before food. But we were pleasently surprised. The wait was not that long at all and the food was fantastic. I had the TGI Friday's Jack Daniels burger, a favourite of mine. Amazing.

A fun, funky movie themed bar, filled with interesting movie memorabilia. I went during the day to grab a bit of lunch, I would like to go back in the evening to experience the night side of the place. The top secret basement bar for example was off limits during the day. The food experience was mixed. There were a few misunderstandings with the order, which meant we were originally served things we didn't ask for, which then resulted in a long (ish) wait whilst the correct dishes were prepared. But this was fine, we were not in a rush and the staff were extremely gracious and handled the situation perfectly with a VERY satisfactory discount! I'd be more than willing to eat there again, I recommend the El Diablo chilli if you like a spicy chilli! I will definitely go back in the evening for drinks.

Let me just say I think this might possibly be the greatest chip shop I've ever been to in my life. A bold statement I know but the chips are just that good! The quality comes at a price, it's probably not the cheapest chip shop you are likely to have been to. But the quality justifies the price. Unfortunately for my waist line I am a regular customer here now!
