Like this page because we need some fans. Also because you might be hearing my voice on TV pretty soon. Seriously.

I'm going to make Google+ be useful. Everyone go look at my latest Facebook note and try to play the music game! http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150375334487519

I know you weren't. I'm just saying. I really ought to give G+ a chance, and I will. It's still only what, 2 weeks old? Adaptability and counterintuitive-ness are not necessarily mutually exclusive. It'll just take a bit to get used to the format of G+. How long that bit is for one will probably be determined in part by how much time one currently spends on Facebook. Or MySpace. Or LinkedIn. Or whatever.

I will say that the more I log in to G+, the more I feel like it could (and will) be really cool.

I'm only saying this because I like making +Kevin Thrasher angry.

Google+ is Tumblr for adults.

tl;dr: Google+ is Facebook for celebrities.

I realized this in the shower (where I have all my best thoughts). Celebrities didn't really get into social networking until Twitter got popular around 2008/9. Facebook was already monstrously popular and "celebrities" were really just fan pages or even groups (remember those?). Since Twitter, though, it's become cool for celebrities to have their Verified Accounts and actually interact directly with their fan base. So that is one advantage (or disadvantage) that Google+ is going to have over Facebook: it's not going to have any fan pages. The celebrities are going to get on Google+ and it's really going to be them as opposed to their personal aide (at best), simply because of the timing of Google+'s release.

It's actually a really good theory but I can't articulate it at all. Maybe that should've been the tl;dr.

That is a pretty interesting idea, especially considering that on G+, you don't have to mutually be "friends", you can simply choose add someone to a circle or not

In other news it's a TINY bit scary that Google knows that I lived in Durham because that was like from age 0-4. AKA before the Internet.
