Officer killed with a gun in his own home while trying to break up a dispute between family members.
An off-duty Richmond police officer was shot and killed in Vallejo early Thursday morning.

Neat photo. I'd like to know the story behind this. Looks like a war vet dog and I think I can see a prosthetic left leg on the trike rider.

Weirdly trimmed palms!  If you did that in Arizona every one of them would be filled with Norway rats.  Err... wow.  Sorry.  No idea where that came from.  Nice pic!

I don't like Google Glass. Am I the only one? But I like my steel bike though.

Great place for a date. Good selection of entrees. My wife enjoyed her fish, and the waitress was helpful to suggest an off menu vegan sandwich for me that was very satisfying.

This has to be the shop with the largest selection of e-bikes in SoCal, maybe the country. We drove in from Redlands. We tried our LBS that had only 1 e-bike. Then we stopped at another store in Anaheim that had 10 bikes, but only the Pedego brand. Made it to Myron's (aka Electric Bicycle Center) and boom! We found what we wanted. The owner, Sam has several mfgs and dozens of bikes. Pricing from $500 to $5000+, there is an e-bike for every size butt and budget. Committed to e-bikes is the best description of the EBC. Sales, service and plenty of accessories to customize your ride. My recommendation is to buy a bike with the biggest battery you can afford, because you will need it when you start riding all over the place! What fun.

5 stars for offering a delicious vegan option. This isn't that typical corporate food with a meaningless (v) next to a menu item. You can dine with your omni friends without having to compromise your tastebuds.

Authentic Mexican food in a casual setting. Judging the crowd, it is apparently a favorite of locals. We were in town shopping and dropped in for a quick bite. This is not Chipotle. The neighborhood is a bit on the rough side. The food was only okay. Beans, rice, cheese, meat and tortillas are tough to screw up. A couple of things that were turn offs. First, no sour cream or guacamole. Not on the menu. Second the men's room was a disaster. If the restaurant management won't take care of part of the restaurant that the public has access to, what about the areas in the kitchen and beyond? (See pics) Not returning here when there are plenty of better options.
