The goal of my birthday campaign on charity: water is to collect $350 that would eventually help 12 people.
It doesn’t sound like a lot, but believe me: for those few people your help will change their lives, with your help they will start to live and will stop to exist.

The goal of my birthday campaign on charity: water is to collect $350 that would eventually help 12 people.

It doesn’t sound like a lot, but believe me: for those few people your help will change their lives, with your help they will start to live and will stop to exist.

The water crisis is not a tragedy of few unlucky regions on Earth, it's a global problem which concerns the whole world.

Donating creates a much deeper joy, a much greater happiness and a much stronger connection than just receiving. Think when Gandhi once said “be the change you want to see in the world” and think that fighting against the water crisis helps us to become the change we wish to see around us.

Prima di aspettarsi che qualcuno si schieri al tuo fianco, chiediti per cosa ti batti, qual’è la tua causa.
Perché la community è così ed è molto di più che appartenere ad un gruppo: riguarda soprattutto il fare qualcosa insieme che da senso all’appartenenza e allo stare insieme.

I was inspired to write this post and to publish it today, on my birthday, when I read “Happy Birthday” by Seth Godin in which he explains why since five years, he decided to donate his birthday date to charity: water. Every year 3 Million people die because of contaminated water.

Sono convinto che donare sia più bello che ricevere perché donare rende felici, ci fa sentire più vicini, rinsalda i rapporti facendoci sentire più forti. Inoltre penso a Gandhi quando con la sua frase ci ricorda di essere il cambiamento che desideriamo vedere nel mondo.

Se vogliamo spingerci oltre la superficialità, se davvero vogliamo essere il cambiamento che desideriamo vedere nel mondo, allora attivarsi per questa causa e diventare l’esempio che altri sceglieranno di seguire è davvero l’occasione giusta di vivere da protagonisti quel cambiamento che tanto auspichiamo.

A questo punto, se stai ancora chiedendoti "ma io cosa posso fare?", ti rispondo assicurandoti che puoi fare moltissimo.

Innanzitutto con charity: water non esistono intermediari quindi il 100% delle donazioni pubbliche arriva a destinazione, dove si scavano i pozzi o si installano i depuratori.
Detto questo, puoi scegliere di fare tutte queste cose:
- sostenere la mia campagna aiutandomi a raccogliere la somma di $350, donando se puoi anche un solo euro,
- fare girare questo post tra i tuoi amici,
- attivare la tua iniziativa personale,
- contattarmi per crearne una che coinvolga e raggiunga il più ampio numero di persone.

Ho pensato di scrivere questo post il 10 luglio scorso e di pubblicarlo oggi, il giorno del mio compleanno, dopo aver letto quello in cui Seth Godin spiega la decisione di dedicare il giorno del suo compleanno alla causa di charity: water (acqua pulita a chi non ce l'ha).

Se per trasformare l’esperienza del cliente in fonte di reddito occorre saperne ascoltare le esperienze con genuina empatia, allora la valorizzazione del cliente, si profila come la nuova frontiera dello sviluppo e della competizione.
Il contesto in cui le aziende disegnano e progettano nuove esperienze al centro delle quali si trova sempre l’individuo. Anche a scapito degli obiettivi economici di breve periodo.
