It is always gratifying to see the finished project after many months of looking at it in 3D! We enjoyed working with Berry-Prindle Architects and Gray Construction on this 200,000 square foot tilt-up concrete warehouse. The building is 800 feet long and nearly 250 feet wide. Leonard Engineering performed the structural design of the tilt-up walls, structural steel roof and entrance structures, and the concrete foundations. The tilt-up walls are approximately 41 feet tall and were designed as insulated concrete sandwich panels. The roof structure is constructed with steel bar joists and joist girders which bear on the tilt-up walls. The rear of the building is a loading area with 22 loading doors and dock levelers with knock-out panels installed to accommodate 33 additional future loading doors.
