A wonderfully knowledgeable and insightful portrayal of the Gershwin brothers: who they were, what were their influences not only on American music but also on American culture, and their relationship to one another. I love Carl Weinschenk's approach: always from the perspective of the "curious Everyman", where he knows just enough to ask the lucid questions we all would like to ask. Wonderful!
