The Club is pleased to welcome Terry Hunt, Editor-in-Chief of the East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Evening Star, who has kindly agreed to give a talk with the opportunity to ask questions.
Terry joined the EADT at Bury St Edmunds as a junior reporter in 1979. He undertook a variety of editorial roles, including news editor, sports editor and district chief reporter, before becoming editor of the Ipswich Evening Star in October 1993. In May 1996, he was appointed editor of the East Anglian Daily Times. In August of 2012 he was appointed Editor-in-Chief of both titles, together with a series of free weeklies.
Tickets: £6 for club members, non-members £7, which includes tea/coffee and cake.

The Club is pleased to present Swing Machine Big Band at the Leiston Film Theatre.
Swing Machine is an Ipswich-based 15 piece big band recreating the much-loved sounds of the 30s, 40s and 50s.
The band has an extensive repertoire rooted in the Swing Era and takes great delight in bringing to audiences the music of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Ted Heath, Woody Herman, Duke Ellington and Stan Kenton et al. Two top-class vocalists perform both individually and as a duo, covering songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Ella Fitzgerald, Michael Bublé and Harry Connick Jr., etc
Swing Machine has played at a wide variety of events and venues including BBC Radio Suffolk’s Children in Need fund raising dance event and Christmas Concert, Charity Balls featuring celebrity dancers from TV's Strictly Come Dancing, Duxford Imperial War Museum, The New Wolsey Theatre, The Spa Pavilion Theatre, Ipswich Corn Exchange and many others

Tickets are now on sale at Leiston Film Theatre priced: £12.95, Concessions £11.95 and for Support Club Members £10.95. Please note: To take advantage of the Support Club offer, members must purchase tickets at the Box Office with their 2016/17 membership card.

You are invited to the Club's Annual General Meeting. Tea and coffee will be available before the meeting from 10 am. The Agenda will be included with the next newsletter. Please note any correspondence for the AGM should be handed to the Secretary seven days before the meeting.

Take Teddy to the Theatre! Grab your furry friend and enjoy the fabulous ultra-violet delights of the Dayglo Indydarc Puppet Show. The perfect half term treat for the whole family and an ideal introduction to live theatre for younger ones.

The United Church as per their usual Saturday event are providing and serving tea and coffee. Why not come along, there is always a friendly atmosphere and members seem to enjoy having a chat with the committee and other members over a cup of coffee. The Club will also be running stalls. We would appreciate the donation of cakes, draw and tombola prizes please. No bric-a-brac this time. Prizes can be given to committee members prior to the event. Cakes can be given to committee members or brought to the United Church on the morning of the event.
