Wow! MS finally came round! Good find Rick, this will be very popular. Will you share it with Teachers of Health Professionals? Can I take a copy and put it in Wikimedia Commons for use in the Using Video conference?

http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/apple-stop-using-the-known-carcinogen-benzene-in-your-products What I have learnt from this video; putting faces to the human suffering behind the big name brands products, the cancer inducing effects of benzene poisoning, a common chemical used in the manufacturing process that consumers and factory workers are exposed to.

This human poisoning issue is one of occupational health and safety which requires consumers to put pressure on #Apple #lenovo  etc. This would potentially add $1 to the cost of the product.

The evolution of our profession in a networked world must involve attention to how we think and share in the great wide open.

Good on you Paul. I suggest recording 'lectures' or 'snap shot explanation' video and loading to Youtube. Back them up to Archive.org, then take the Ogg formats created on Archive and load them to Wikimedia Commons. This way you have a 3 way backup and distribution to audience.

The LTU IP Policy explicitly encourages you to publish teaching materials freely online. Avoid LTU branding however, as use of this requires ok from Marketing, which has resulted in delays and blockages in our experience.

2014 Bush Adventure Therapy Forum: Canberra 16-19 May

Are you looking for new ways to encourage people towards healthy change? Are you interested in using outdoor and adventure for health, healing, recovery or therapy with your client group(s)? If so, these professional development opportunities may be of interest to you...

The annual Australian Association for Bush Adventure Therapy (AABAT) Forum will be hosted in Canberra from 16-19th May 2014. The Forum is designed for people of all levels of experience and interest. Delegates are invited to immerse themselves in thinking, talking, watching, listening and finding their own way around the diverse and interesting terrain of bush adventure therapy in ways that are useful for them. Information about the program, sessions and presenters can be found here.

Before the Forum, Martin Ringer will deliver a 2-day workshop called "Self as Instrument" (May 14-15), focusing on what practitioners bring to the intention of therapy with groups. For newcomers, a 1-day introduction to Bush Adventure Therapy will be presented on the same day the Forum begins, called "BAT 101" (May 16).

Thanks Leigh and Alexander for a great introduction to the technology. We are ready to link up via google hangout from the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne at the La Trobe Clinical School. This is amazing technology with endless opportunities. I agree its really going to test the boundaries of privacy.

Truck swiped my mirror off today. Danny, the driver, could not have been more apologetic. Ringwood Volkswagon was able to get a new mirror on same day. Danny paid for it in cash, and left us an enticing bottle of wine (symbolic actually).

So is that a true price-point differential we should be pointing out to Google ? :)

Three out of four of today’s UK university graduates will be paying back their student loans well into their 50s, owing an average amount of £44,000 ($74,000), a study published Thursday reveals.

Southland Polytechnic in New Zealand worked out a way to make their education free to the student. Some people in the US are saying it's cheaper than user pay! Here in Australia, is it possible to run a course on the Government subsidy alone? http://leighblackall.blogspot.com.au/2010/08/higher-education-in-australia-what-we.html

The most recent shifts in mortality ... can be explained by the incorporation of these procedures and devices into the layman's culture. #illich #Medicalnemisis #publichealth

Robbers. Took a car for a Road Worthy Certificate, and they milked it to $800! They said new tires, there was at least 5000km left in them. They said new windscreen, the chip was less than 15mm. They said new brake pads, they were fine 2000kms ago. We didn't go ahead, but they charged us $160 for their trouble. If it's an RWC you need, go elsewhere. Vicroads take note!

GE Finance is an absolute joke: 1. Wanted to pay out our debt using another debit card. 2. 10 minute wait on international call charges, only to be told they don't take debit card payments. Advised to walk in to bank or send cheque! 3. Called back, on phone for 20 minutes trying to get the walk in bank details to do a NetBank transfer. 4. Brian in Auckland GE Money insisted that those bank details did not need a SWIFT code (all international transfers usually need a SWIFT code), Brian said, "I deal with international transfers everyday and has never needed to provide an international code", and that "the account number was enough" 5. Called our bank who said they could not transfer money to the NZ bank without the SWIFT code 6. Called GE Money back and got Brian again. Brian put me on 20 minute hold and returned with a SWIF code, but not the receiving international transfer fee! He said i will need to call their NZ bank for this! No apology or offer to call me back! 7. Brian said to call GE in 10 days to make sure the funds have cleared and then close the account. 8. I then called Westpac New Zealand to ask for the amount of the receiving international transfer, and i also confirmed with her the Swift code (as at this stage i didn't trust Brains advice), and also confirm the bank account. The lady from Westpac couldn't confirm that the account was GE Finance and Insurance's account but could confirm it is a current Westpac account. So i will have to wait and see to whether it will go through the right account. 9. A total joke for customer service, will never take finance from GE trouble again.. remains to be seen if we can get out of this tangle with them.

Tuan is great to deal with. He has been right there for us, helping develop our site - that probably makes us more difficult clients too. Thanks Tuan and Captovate. Good to see Darwin with service and professionalism rivaling any Australian capital city business.

Charming and surprising. Also the best haircut I've ever had. Carmen and Kirsty were friendly and relaxed, yet careful and precise. I went in there with a crazy mop on my head and walked out a new man. Thanks.

Sales AND service are crooks. I bought an Astra on the agreement that it would have a tow bar installed. I got a non holden bar, with wiring that didn't work. They resisted replacing, in the end both Sales and Service denied doing the job, and I have to go elsewhere to get the wiring right! Such a simple job, WTF wouldn't they just do it!? Service are so busy, they have no idea what's going on and who is doing it. Reception phone system is useless.

The view is incredible. Get there for sunset and stay for night lights. The dinner on the other hand was atrocious. Service staff seemed demoralised. Food was a shocker. We had 'pork medallions' x 2, risotto x 1, and kids chicken meal. All of them very highly priced, but barely better than a frozen meal reheated. Next time we'll bring our own and sit on the lawn for the view. Bbq plates are there, we could easily cook a better meal on those. Sorry for the bad review, I hope they get it right some day, we want a restaurant to be proud of up here.
