Thanks Mark for inviting me into the community.  I look forward to meeting you in-person sometime.  In return for your invitation I am offering you and any of your community members a very special gift of membership to The Business Barter Network scheme.  Just mention 'Mark Google+ ' when you create your account.  Happy Friday everyone!

I haven't set it up as a traditional business, although in order to be sustainable I have made a small charge for businesses.  I actually have 2 other businesses that provide me with an income.

With regards to why people would use the alternative currency - there are a number of reasons.  Firstly to improve cash flow.  If you are able to earn and spend Action Pounds on services that you would normally have to pay cash for, you are conserving cash.

Secondly, when you offer your goods or services to other members for Action Pounds it gives people access to your services and it enables them to 'try' you without much in the way of risk.

The complementary currency also enables you as a seller to charge full price for your goods and services versus getting into discount wars.

Complementary currencies are proven to have 3 times the value of national currency in the local community.

Thanks so much for the questions Mark - do you have any more?

What we need is more sustainable growth where it matters - small businesses.  There are lots of ways we can all get involved - crowd funding and using a complementary currency (that is resource based) are a good start!

#ActionPounds are based on the belief in the value of a clean world. If you believe money based on something is more valuable than money based on nothing, then you get the concept.

A richer #tag  experience in Google Search gets my vote - what say you?
A richer hashtag experience in Google Search

The #hashtags you see in Google+ posts are a useful way to discover conversations around a particular topic. In May we added related hashtags to the Google+ stream, turning any post into an opportunity to go deeper and explore what’s interesting to you.

Today we’re bringing a richer hashtag experience to Google Search. Here’s how it works:

- When you search on Google for a hashtag, say [#AmericasCup] or [#WaterfallWednesday], a set of relevant Google+ posts may appear to the right of regular results.
- You’ll only be able to see posts that have been shared publicly or shared with you.
- If you click on any of these posts you'll go to Google+, where you'll see the full set of relevant posts.
- You'll also see links to search for these hashtags on other social sites.

Today's update will be available (initially) to English language users in the US and Canada on and It’ll be live within the next few hours, so give it a go and let us know what you think.

Please help keep 6 innocent people out of a Kenyan Jail. They (mostly grandmothers/fathers) created a local currency for a local trading scheme among the poorest communities in Mombassa and for this they have been arrested and put on trial on 17th July.

Please would you sign this petition and share it with everyone you know - Thank you! ♥

From isolation to collaboration - transforming the way we think, act and work

I started out disillusioned by the way things were going in the World; and frustrated by the lack of ‘useful’ support and resources for small businesses, professionals, entrepreneurs and in particular – micropreneurs, I came up with the concept of CollaborAction.

Every business owner, professional or individual has got  needs and wants in business and or their personal life. Individually, we don’t have all the answers or resources that we need, but what we do have could be exactly what someone else needs and vice versa - but how do we share and access those resources?

To solve the access problem and remove all the barriers of direct bartering (I give you this and you give me that) we've created The CollaborActions Network a one-stop-shop for advertising, promoting and accessing resources.

We've also developed a unique e-currency so that you can save your cash and still access the things you need, as well as promote your goods and services using The Business Barter Network.

Bragging rights
I have got this far in life! I'm a woman and according to my son - the best mum in the world! Friends tell me I'm inspiring and amazing. Coaching clients tell me I've made a huge difference in their lives with my loving, committed and unique approach to their success. Clients tell me that I'm inspiring, innovative and passionate in my approach to business. Colleagues tell me I'm exciting, dynamic and great to work with. My heart tells me I'm alive and grateful.

My son stayed at Oxford Court (2012) and loved it! We looked at lots of student accommodation in the area, we thought they were overpriced and unlike Oxford Court didn't offer good value for money. I was really happy to learn that Oxford Court has staff on site all day and the times that Max needed to use them, they were really friendly and helpful. The room is really great - it's 'cool and funky' and they've put a lot of effort into upgrading the accommodation including super fast broadband that Max raved about!
