In response to Orangestoneface: A keysafe is just one part of a security system. For instance, I leave the keysafe in a convenient but hidden place not too close to the door it opens. This way, there is less incentive and opportunity to break it open, and even if it is opened, it is a chore to find the door that the key opens. It's not perfect but no lock is. On the subject of picking: I haven't heard of the Kidde Portable KeySafe being easily picked.
