Sometimes, you feel great and you want to express yourself. If you've ever held back, ask yourself, why hold back? #findyourpark

Traveling across the US to Colorado, we stopped by Wichita Mountain wildlife refuge and watched the wild bison roam as the sunset across the horizon. A long day of driving rewarded. #findyourpark #oklahoma #wichita

I recently completed my two week whirlwind adventure across the American countryside. My first stop was the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. This little known gem had wild bison wandering roadside and offered a beautiful sunset in the evening.
Had I had more time to explore the area, I would have loved to have seen the 40 foot hole area and I definitely would have explored some of the nature trails in the area. Maybe next time!

It was late May, 2011, but epic snowfall that year had closed many of the trails in Glacier National Park. 8 foot snow drifts followed on the side of the road so it felt like I was driving in a snow tunnel at points. This made it a quiet morning when I visited Two Medicine Lake.

With incredible desert views and various canyoneering opportunities, Zion still reigns as my favorite national park thus far.

Soon, I will begin a long hiking trip. This new adventure will take me to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. I'm gathering last minute details and ensuring everything is ready to make for a smooth trip and I find myself looking back at some previous adventures.
Sometimes, as I'm traveling, I anticipate that some areas will be devoid of any real opportunity to capture a nice image and it's always fun to be surprised and find those little hidden gems. Such amazing vistas and views in a very unsuspecting moment and place.
This is a shot I took of a wind farm late one night in Texas.

It's not uncommon to find people who insist they need nobody. I, on the other hand, cherish my family and friends. They are as important as the air that I breath, the food that sustains me and the water that gives me life. #friendship #jacksonville

Friendly service, but it's a brewery that did not have one of its own signature beers. The chicken wrap had maybe 1.5oz of actual chicken. Mostly bread and lettuce. Decent atmosphere at least.

The southwest chicken plate is the best chicken dinner I've ever had, hands down.
