The book says that Protagonist Sheets for each player not playing the Guide (available in the back of this book and as a formfillable
PDF download from http://www.room209gaming.com) however when I went to the website listed I could not find any indication of where such a Protagonist Sheet might be located.

Name: Gareth of High Tower
Lead Character

- Master Swordsman (D8/5/3)

.Ignore a single +1 step bonus to any opponent's Difficulty (note that if no step bonus is applied, this option is not possible)
.Follow up an absolute with a free second conflict roll against the same opponent or another opponent within Melee range of the first.
- As a Grizzled veteran he gains a +1 Step Bonus to any conflict rolls involving fear,

Resources:
- “WychBaen”: Blessed bastard-sword with wire-wrapped hilt and obsidian pommel-stone.
- Hauberk of battle-worn chainmaile.

Gareth of High Tower is “the best he is at what he does, and what he does is not pretty.” He lost his parents to the depredations of dark magic when he was only a boy, and swore on his father’s sword (WychBaen = Witch’s Bane) that he would see those dark forces driven from Alduire. A fortnight later, he had joined a training cadre for the Ironbound, and was acquitting himself well. Over the years he has risen through the ranks, though he has never sought command, desiring instead to be the Kingdom’s boot on the neck of those who would practice dark magic on the people.

Gareth is a boon companion, and loyal to a fault. Sometimes his reflexes, and the ability to evade damage have caused those who do not know him to wonder if he possesses some magical talent of his own.

Name: Lyonesse delaTor
Lead Character
Role: Commander, Fresh Recruit, Loyal to the Crown

Potentials:
- War College Prodigy (D8/5/3)
- Dueling Champion (D6/3/2)
- Unbreakable Will (D6/3/2)

Motivation: Prove her worth as an Ironbound to her new command.

Hinderance: Serious burns on her left hand/burning memory.

Special:
- Leadership Style: A bit of a Martinet, +2 Steps when she aids another character by goading them onward.
= Rising Through the Ranks: Coming straight from military college gives +1 step regarding knowledge of history or science.
- Teamwork: Can spend 1 Stamina to allow another Ironbound to interrupt or retaliate even if they have already done so, this round.

Resources:
- Signet Ring
- Basket-hilt Rapier

Lyonesse delaTor is the only child of the Count Alaric delaTor, a retired Ironbound, and long-time companion to King Beorn. Alaric had hoped for a son, and his daughter chose not to deny him his desire, taking naturally to the saddle and following the ways of hawk and hound, she grew up as something of a tomboy, and when she was of age, she sought a commission to the Royal Academy. Against all odds, she was accepted and began training as an officer.

During her tenure in the Academy, she faced more than her fair share of challenges; to her temerity for seeking a commission, as well as to her authority as the Count’s heir. Each of these challenges was met on the field of honor, where she acquitted herself well, earning her a reputation as a fierce combatant. This reputation was heightened by the way she handled strategy, tactics and stress in her classes on military history and tactics.

Graduating first in her class, she has been commissioned, and sent into the field, given her first command over other seasoned commanders, of a tested squad of Ironbound.

I have to agree that this picture is a much better Grizzled Veteran than Rutger Hauer.
