This is one of quite a few reasons I would not work in #qatar

A French-Algerian footballer "trapped" in Qatar for two years because his club would not permit his departure is now able to go home, his brother says.

Fantastic story about old keyboards still being in demand today: http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013/11/why-i-use-a-20-year-old-ibm-model-m-keyboard/

I loved my old IBM keyboard back in the 90s.  I certainly had a few.....I should have kept my PS/2 model 60!!!

I loved the keyboard on my old Atari 800.  It was probably the best keyboard of any system I've used.

What a lovely find! We've been through Bissone lots of times and promised ourselves a visit and finally we did. Absolutely no regrets there, we had locally-sourced food and wine which was reasonably priced and very enjoyable. It's mentioned in a previous review that nobody speaks English there - I disagree. Certainly our waitress who seemed to be handling the front of the house efficiently and effectively spoke excellent English. Her attitude and competence made our visit more enjoyable The measure of a place is if you'll return. The answer is YES!

I went with my folks, wife and kid and enjoyed food there. It was excellent and I would return (for me, this is the key point of any review). They were absolutely excellent on many levels as they allowed us to take our deserts up to our rented apartment 20 paces away as my little boy had to go to bed and had hit the wall. The look on people's faces as we left with deserts on a tray was marvellous...! And yes I did return their property and we did tip them handsomely for their attitude.

I pass Morchino regularly and have been going there since around 2002. It's been consistently excellent and my first memory was that the food and wine seemed cheap and I therefore had to have some more!! Pier I think is always there. I've never been there and he was not there. He's a lovely chap and I do believe he now speaks some English - I go with Italian-speaking folk (for my sins) and he's always happy to hang out and spend time with his guests. I have two complaints: 1. I ride my motorbike home past Morchino quite often and smell the costine being grilled. This is torture for me as I know I am not eating them!! 2. The food is that good and I usually eat too much. The wine is too good and it's decently priced so my walk home after visiting is harder than it should be!! As you can see, they're hardly bad things. I think I have to visit there again before my vacation.....yum yum!!

I stayed at the Ruby Rooms back in what must be 2007. It's a wonderful location for those not wanting the hustle of downtown Chicago but not wanting to be too far away. I'm actually here writing a review because my sister-in-law was looking for a place to stay in Chicago with her boyfriend and is interested in something different. Not being able to remember much but the way from the CTA Metro stop (and not knowing which one), my search used Google Maps and some recollection of features in the area. Street View nailed it and I'm happy to report on my stay nearly six years later. It's a hands-off room-only deal in effect. If you're able to live on your own, you'll be fine. Communicate your arrival time and they'll look after you. There are pubs and bars galore in the area - I've found all the places we visited much to my wife's astonishment (memory of a goldfish, that woman!). A brilliant location for good quality accommodation where you come and go as you please.
