Demand for physicians continues to grow faster than supply. Although physician supply is projected to increase modestly between 2013 and 2025, demand will grow more steeply.
The physician shortage will persist under every likely scenario, including increased use of advanced practice nurses (APRNs); greater use of alternate settings such as retail clinics; delayed physician retirement; rapid changes in payment and delivery; and other modeled scenarios.
Addressing the shortage will require a multi-pronged approach, including innovation in delivery; greater use of technology; improved, efficient use of all health professionals on the care team; and an increase in federal support for residency training. The IHS Inc. study results confirm that no single solution will be sufficient on its own to resolve physician shortages.
Because physician training can take up to a decade, a physician shortage in 2025 is a problem that needs to be addressed in 2015.

Thank you, health care providers, for giving up your weekends, your children’s birthday parties, and your family dinners to be on call. We appreciate all that you do!

As we work to reform the way we deliver and pay for health care, we need to keep in mind that providers have needs, too.

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to make drastic changes in order to notice an improvement in the quality of your life. At the same time, you don’t need to wait a long time in order to see the measurable results that come from taking positive action. All you have to do is take small steps, and take them consistently #MotivationalMonday

The match.com for healthcare recruiters and physicians seeking to progress their careers.
Introduction

Leapdoctor.com connects physicians to healthcare employers through our groundbreaking online platform. We give our career-seekers the opportunity to tailor-fit their employment search based on location preference, specialty, and many other criteria.

Even as newer fields of medicine continue to be added, we have been able to maintain a supremely high quality of career opportunities for physicians which have helped distanced us from the status quo.

Our primary objective is to help healthcare recruiters find the kind of talent that not only plugs an immediate need, but also gives them a long-term solution for their hospitals and practices. For us, finding a physician their dream job is just the start. Our other goals are to sustain a mutually beneficial relationship with recruiters and continue to train residents on a diverse set of skills that will push them towards the front of the pack!
