A few thoughts on writing letters and the memories that come from written words. http://leahsthoughts.com/the-lost-art-of-the-letter/
Sophie and I spent this week prepping the Valentines for today’s class party. In the midst of our work, she casually mentioned to me she wrote a special Valentine for someone in her class. Up…

On the blog: I was 8-years-old when my family bought our first home computer, the Apple IIe. Life hasn't been the same since! http://leahsthoughts.com/the-day-the-apple-computer-changed-my-life/
“Mom, who exactly is Steve Jobs?” Sophie asked as we were watching the Golden Globe Awards. “He’s the man who invented Apple,” I said. “All the computers, the iPhone, iPad … Steve Jobs came up with…

On the Blog: I so often find myself thinking, "If I can just get through tomorrow, this week, etc., then I can rest tomorrow." But here’s the thing: Tomorrow never comes; not the way I mean it here. So in an effort to feel more calm and stop uttering that phrase, here are a few of my personal goals and resolutions for 2016.
I’m not big on resolutions (or “revolutions,” as Sophie thought they were called). If I want to do something, I’m the type that decides and simply does it. That being said, …

On the blog: The post in which I attempt to answer the question, "How can I — one insignificant individual — have an impact on what’s happening in the world?"
The world feels like it’s in utter chaos lately. Paris, shootings, Beirut, bomb threats, dictators, ISIS, refugee crises, and presidential politics … I find myself going through each da…

On the blog: A very special interview with Valerie Tripp, writer of the "American Girl" doll books! She talks about the process behind creating the dolls’ back stories, what she hopes kids take away from the stories, why she started writing children's books, and what American Girl dolls is her favorite! http://leahsthoughts.com/meet-the-writer-behind-the-famous-american-girl-doll-stories/
One of my favorite parts of writing this blog has been interviewing different authors on this space. There’s something so exciting for me about finding out how writers create their beloved ch…

I have been nothing but pleased with my Hera Hub experience. Not only do I have a very relaxing, yet conducive to work, setting to get things done outside my home office. But I've made so many great contacts. The networking events and workshops alone are worth the price of membership. And Felena is a master connector and will make sure she connects you with someone in some way. Hera Hub is an inspiring and happy place to be -- so glad I'm a part of this amazing group!

We have been taking our daughter to Dr. Eric Dixon for two years (she nearly 4-years-old) and we have had nothing but positive experiences there. My daughter LOVES going to the dentist because of Dr. Dixon, the wonderful hygienists, and staff. I only wish I had that kind of dental care as a child. We are blessed to have found them! -- Leah S.
