"Rising Above the Bay"

I really do love this town! On this particular morning I was treated to one of those awe-inspiring displays by mother nature. As many people know, I have this habit of getting up kind of early in the morning, so I try to make the most of it by getting out and going somewhere before the sun rises. Recently, I have been spending some time up in the Marin Headlands, which is a wonderful place to explore.

This image was shot from the ridge seen below the top of Hawk Hill when looking toward San Francisco. I hiked down the steep hill about 1/4 mile while it was still a bit dark and set up on top of rocks. I took a few pictures then just sat and watched for a while. Another morning firmly etched into my brain.

Thank you to everybody who has added me to a circle - I hope you enjoy. If you like, check out the other images in my albums that you may have missed - I know... 'the stream' moves quickly, and many people are new here :)
