Moved into a home only to discover something was not disclosed on the seller disclosure that you are now having to repair??
Did you know that SC state law requires the seller to disclose all "material defects" in a property to the buyer for the sale to be valid. If a home buyer discovers a material defect that the seller failed to disclose before the close of the sale, the law may give them the right to cancel the transaction.
Let’s chat on what rights you have as the Current Home owner. Call for a free consultation.

Curious about South Carolina Child Support Rules?

Child support guidelines: South Carolina requires all parents to support their children. The amount of child support depends primarily on each parent’s income and other resources and how much time each parent spends with the children.

Not getting Along With Your General Contractor?

Disputes over the contract scope of work, represented by the plans and specifications, are some of the most significant areas of dispute between the owner and the general contractor. Each side often interprets the documents differently, particularly if the description of the work in the plans/specifications is unclear or ambiguous — or when the plans are contradictory to the specifications. Typically, there is an implied warranty on the part of the owner that the plans/specifications are correct, adequate, accurate, and buildable. Of course, there are always exculpatory clauses in the contract by which the owner attempts to shift that responsibility to the contractor. The battle is often between the implied warranty and the enforcement of the exculpatory clause.
