DON'T FORGET! There will be no live VA Tech School Webinar today. We will be posting the recording to our member website this afternoon. To obtain a copy of the recording, please email memberservices@lawyerswithpurpose.com

April’s VA Tech School webinar will continue the discussion of medical expenses that began with March 2017’s VA Tech School webinar “The Role of Medical Expenses in VA Non-Service Connected Pension Eligibility.” This month the focus is specifically on long term care medical expenses which often constitute the majority of unreimbursed medical expenses that the VA will consider as “reasonably predictable”. Sabrina A. Scott, Director of VA Services for LWP will discuss ALFs (assisted living facilities), ILFs (independent living facilities), NHs (nursing homes), and HHC (home health care) and what the VA requires in order for such expenses to be considered medical expenses for the purposes of qualifying for VA pension eligibility.
