If you have to use Facebook, ..

Charles Townes, inventor of the laser, passed away.
In 1951, physicist Charles Townes was lost in thought on a park bench in Washington, D.C., pondering a years-long puzzle: how to create an intense beam of light – short in wavelength and high in frequency – with far-reaching practical uses. Albert Einstein had theorized that it could be done, but no one had yet managed the feat.

As if Santa attached a GoPro camera to his sleigh, a new video reveals the Earth as few have seen it. Published this week, the time-lapse shows stunning views of the Earth, sunrises, clouds, lightning, auroras, stars, and the International Space Station.

How TVs and tablets will converge

The convergence of giant TVs and tablets with touch displays will inevitably replace today's PC paradigm in homes, businesses and enterprise conference rooms.

Wearable

Yay! +Anouk Wipprecht made another rev of her totally awesome spider dress.
