Great interview prep tip!  Also good to do before public speaking situations.

#interview practice tip: record answers to tough questions on your cell phone; listen, edit, repeat.

Read about a very common resume mistake and how to avoid making it. (Hint: don't rehash a job description...)

Some great opening lines for your cover letter. The key is to grab the reader's attention and not start your letter off like every other letter in their in--box. Read along as you brainstorm for your own opener...

While in Philadelphia recently, I trained Muay Thai at Brazen Boxing & MMA and had a fantastic experience. They were welcoming, professional, and responsive from the first point of contact. The environment was friendly (especially important as a woman) and the vibe was laid-back. No attitude here. My training with one of their coaches, pro MMA fighter Tom Backman, was value-added, appropriate for my level, and technique-driven. I would recommend Brazen without reservation. I absolutely love where I train at home, but left there wishin' I lived in Philadelphia so I could train at Brazen!

My son started taking karate classes last year. All of their instructors are top notch, developing a quick trust and rapport with students. Students in turn have the utmost respect for the instructors and consider them role models. In addition to the obvious physical fitness and self-defense benefits, we've seen improvements in our child's self-confidence, discipline, and social skills as well. They offer programs for all ages, too! Older students and adults can take classes in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu or Muay Thai Kickboxing. If you're considering a martial arts school in the area, you owe it yourself to talk with the instructors at Bill Stevens Karate. The school is exceptional!
