The Supreme Court on Monday threw out a lower court ruling allowing human genes to be patented, a topic of enormous interest to cancer researchers, patients and drug makers.

Ah, a small step in the right direction.
If human genes can be patented, isn't that exactly one step away from one group of humans being able to legally own another group of humans?
Maybe we should patent ourselves?
Or at least copyright ....
Ever looked into intellectual property rights? You'd better have a chunk of cash if you expect to get anything done. Once again, the rich win and the poor get owned by the rich.
