I am a writer with eclectic taste who has loved writing since I was a small child. I have extensive experience with writing non-fiction, including marketing copy for blogs, marketing copy crafted into tweets, heavily researched editorials and media criticism for my own blog, how-to columns, product reviews, recipes and more. I write freelance expository articles and editorials for the web, most notably for Textbroker.com, Gather.com, and private clients. You can read some of my poetry (and soon short fiction) in Contra Magazine.
I worked for a year as the primary public relations representative for a local entertainment company in upstate New York, ADHD Entertainment, LLC. This involved using multiple social media platforms to promote the brand and its artists; this included ghostwriting tweets. I have experience running PR & social media for a financial blog as well, and have recently re-connected with ADHD Entertainment to copyedit and help ghostwrite a series of memoirs, among other projects including some modeling.
I am a May 2008 college graduate and am already published across the web, and I am looking forward to expanding my writing career, particularly on the Internet. I love news and media and I make sure to pay attention and read all different styles of writing with an open mind. I run a community center for the children of Baby Boomers, known as Generation XYZ, which combines blogs, discount shopping, business opportunity, entertainment and non-profits. Through the Twitter account associated with this company, I have created social media buzz and helped raise funds for pre-eminent non-profit organizations such as Doctors without Borders (Médicins sans Frontières), Baby Buggy, and charity: water. Doctors without Borders named me a social media ambassador for their “Starved for Attention” campaign in the summer of 2010.
My Bachelor’s degree is a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Rhetoric (and a minor in Theatre) from Binghamton University. You can see what I'm up to at the Grotto overview, read my blog, and follow me on Twitter @TheGrottoTweets.
