Yes, everyone who is science literate should take advantage of HAW to be sure people know there is nothing in it. The average person thinks it is home remedies or herbal remedies, and has no clue it is NOTHING.
+Michael Habib Huh? There is no drug in most homeopathic preparations whatsoever - it is just water or alcohol or lactose. A very few do actually contain an ingredient, and those are usually labelled - like the zinc that caused so much damage when it was added to homeopathic Zicam, or the fungus added to OMG Max.
+John R. Ellis: Many "home remedies" and the like are indeed effectively nothing at all, which is its own problem. However, quite a number of herbal remedies contain dilute active drugs. Users will argue that because these options are "natural" they are safe.
+Michael Habib Ahhh. I was specifically talking about Homeopathy, which has nothing to do whatsoever with either herbal remedies or home remedies. Which just goes to show how important Homeopathy Awareness Week really is, since most people don't know that. Naturopathy and herbal meds and "food supplements" are a whole 'nother category of problems, because they DO contain actual ingredients - although often not what is listed.
