Check out Trumaker! A new SF-based company providing custom made shirts. You choose the fabric, fit, collar shape, and other details and have an outfitter take your measurements.

Put my friend  +Ellen Gustafson's new book #WetheEaters  at the top of your Summer reading list. We're all eaters & we all want a better world.  The book gives ways we can eat to act and change the world from your dinner table!

Google's quest to be zero-carbon. Not an easy task, but hopefully we are setting a precedent to get more businesses engaged in energy saving and efficiency.

Great article by my former professor about how academic food research is   "intensifying in depth and expanding in scope."  Makes me proud to be a Food Studies Alum!

Vietnamese food with a twist! I thought that the appetizers and pho were better than the main dishes. I'll be heading back for the Pho with Sate sauce.

Gaira throws you into a party atmosphere with its live music, dancing and delicious food & drinks. Though reservations may be difficult to obtain, even a spot at the bar guarantees a fantastic evening. The dishes are a great representation of food found along the coast of Colombia and offer lots of options for sharing.

Heirloom Cafe is a bit off the "beaten track" in the Mission, but it is a fantastic choice for a group dinner or a more casual dinner for 2. The servers provide great food & wine suggestions and the menu is regularly updated based on what's in season. I've had some of my favorite meals at Heirloom.

Zushi puzzle doesn't focus on the atmosphere, but has a unique selection of fresh fish and sushi roles. My recommendation is to ask for suggestions from the chef and stick with what he suggests.

Loved the food and the drinks at this teeny gastropub. The menu was creative and the presentation and flavors in the food were excellent. Can't wait to return!
