Straightforward but good reminders here, especially Slides 12-13 if you're concerned about how to prove value of previous month's work.

"With processes, it's not about developing something that stands the test of time (because they never do). It's more about providing guidance and suggestions for a more efficient workflow. That tends to come in the form of checklists that you're continually iterating as living, breathing, dynamic entities inside your organization."

Another great article on managing the content generation process, from +Mackenzie Fogelson

I knew it was going to be a good year:

"Say goodbye to spreadsheets and manual processes — 2014 will see the emergence of a class of cloud-based, end-to-end content marketing platforms."

Can't wait to see what pops up!

"It’s nice to think of our field as a vigorous hybrid, but it often feels more like a Frankenstein’s monster assembled from spare parts and animated by deadline-inspired panic."

Finally digging into Erin Kissane's The Elements of Content Strategy, and loving it.

"So the next time that you see someone state that there is no correlation between the use of a heading element and ranking at Google, ask them if they accounted for semantic closeness and leave them scratching their head. If they don’t get it, they probably never will."

Thanks, +SEO by the Sea for this series.

Awesome. "You can’t replace “link building” with “content marketing” and call it a damn day."

Be visible and quotable, and don't let anyone put words in your mouth. Good post from Jess Champion for anyone wanting to be a more effective communicator with the media.

A few months ago, I was helping my family look for a lawyer to help us resolve an issue involving an elderly relative and his nursing home care. In the end, we ended up not needing formal legal assistance, but during my research, I found McIver Brown and was impressed by their knowledge of the issue and also the way they treated my family and me. I'd refer any friends to McIver Brown if they're in need of a malpractice or nursing home neglect/abuse lawyer.

Earlier this year, my family and I were unfortunately in the position to look into hiring a lawyer for an incident involving an elderly family member at a nursing home. We ended up not having to go this route, but I would have absolutely used McIver Brown had we needed a lawyer, chiefly because of their respect for my family and our situation, and of course for their tremendous expertise and confidence in taking the next steps. The only reason why I rated this "Very Good" and not "Excellent" was because my family ended up not using their services, but I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a lawyer to represent an elderly family member or a nursing home incident.
