I'm sharing this not because I agree with the politics, but because it struck me that I haven't seen this kind of political cartoon since I gave up reading the newspaper.

I'm sure they're out there, in all shades of politics, but in my flu addled brain it reminded me of Gericault. #politics #art

A 'storefront' location of NARA in Philadelphia and Fort Worth are closing. More importantly, though, is that the State Archives of Alaska, all 12,000 cubic feet of it, is being moved to Seattle, Washington.

That's right. If you have research in the State of Alaska you'll no longer be going to Anchorage. Book your ticket to Seattle. Or, grab your cup of joe and fire up your computer. The collections will be digitized. It'll take some time, but they'll be digitized.

Digital preservation dollars needed! If you have Michigan research, you might want to send a few of your hard-earned genea-dollars their way.
The Mining Journal of Marquette is a finalist in a statewide contest. As ABC 10 News Now senior reporter Mike Hoey shows us, the prize would be used to make part of the newspaper's archives available free of charge on the Internet for the first time. http://youtu.be/-aQUkIIgtUc Central Michigan University is holding a contest for…

This is an incredible example of the Media twisting and sensationalizing an event. And, if you look closely at the picture? Yes, that looks like one of the Terra Cotta Army guarding the door. I'd give my right arm for the opportunity to see inside that house...

Wow!
