amazing new place that uses a food cart concept to keep you guessing throughout your meal. there are a few options to order off the menu, but let the servers guide you through a culinary adventure second to none and you'll be much happier! do try the "state bird", though.

Quite the posh place to dine, with extremely obliging servers and extra meals showing up between dishes. You'll definitely pay for the experience, but who doesn't like to find a silver dome covering their food when they return from powdering their nose? If you're not hungry, you can also just head downstairs for drinks at the lounge.

Come for weekend brunch, and a few bloody mary's and a special later, you'll leave happy. The versatile menu has something for everyone - don't want an omelet? - get a meat and cheese plate or a pizza. Given the area you may see a few tourists, but with good food and friends you won't be paying them much attention.

A small restaurant packed into a cozy converted house, this place serves up unusual takes on Californian fare. With an open kitchen, you can see the chef doing all the magic in front of you, and the food definitely doesn't disappoint. A great place to spend an intimate few hours with close friends or a date - you won't regret coming.

You wouldn't think that hotdogs could be so tasty, but Showdogs has proven me wrong. With exciting twists on the classic hotdog and some decent beers to boot, you'll enjoy a great meal here for a reasonable price.

The name gives away the specialties at this hip little mission joint. Come for brunch and try one of their exciting specials - oxtail hash, anyone? - or come for dinner and a cocktail whipped up by the friendly bartenders. You'd be missing out if you don't try some of the oysters and cured ham, though.

Come for oysters, fish, or chowder, and you won't regret it. The tiny interior does lead to a bit of a crowd piling up outside, but this place is usually worth the wait.
