Unfortunately, there's too much truth to this. I would love it if these channels were to go back to their roots, and start showing real science & history, rather than most of the current lineup of shows.

What TV channels seem to be vs. what they actually are:

+Lars Fosdal Yeah, one has to be picky to avoid the junk science on those channels. There are still some good programs, though. They're just few and far apart.

No, we should not have people like this on the police force.

update
Ok, I really need to check these things before blindly sharing. While I stand by my statement that we should not have people like this on the police force, this case is old and outdated, and the officer on the picture is not trying to get his job back. According to Snopes.com, he was convicted and sentence to 10 years in jail (suspended), and while he did try to get his job back in 2012, he ultimately resigned and that is the end of the story.

In this commercial parody, critically-acknowledged actor Peter Sarsgaard promotes his product, Peter Sarsgaard's SARS Guards, a face mask that has the actor's picture on the front and protects the wearer from SARS. [Season 31, 2006]

Please sign this petition. Seems like Senator Rand Paul wants to get rid of the Endangered Species Act.

Please sign the petition letter to  President Obama. We must protect the Endangered Species Act.

94  percent of the species that are currently protected will be taken off of the Endangered Species Act, including the wolf, grizzly bear and sea otter. Others will automatically be removed after they have been on the list for five years whether or not they have demonstrated recovery.

Governors will also be allowed to overturn the federal government's Endangered Species Act in their states.

Without it, we can not protect our wildlife. Some states may bring back hunting to otherwise endangered species.

Don't kill bees or bumblebees.
Wasps you can kill, but learn to see the difference.
If you have the option, consider relocating a beehive rather than killing them.

Bees and bumblebees are "furry", and are essential for pollination. They are normally not aggressive, and only use their stinger in self defense, and dies in the process.

Wasps use their stinger to kill their prey, carry more venom, and are more aggressive. They have clear colors, are not "furry", and their posterior is almost disconnected from the rest of their body.

Absolutely one of the best restaurants we've been to. The atmosphere, the staff, the food, all of it was super. Definitively a place we'll be going back to. The food, which I guess is the main reason people want to look at reviews, was great. I had the Texas Sirloin steak, which was melts-in-your-mouth good. Served with perfectly cooked potatoes, asparagus and caramelized onions (and I think that was a cognac sauce). If you like steak, you won't be disappointed. My father had the braised short rib, which he said was one of the best things he had ever tasted. All the other things on the menu looks equally tempting, and picking the right meal will likely be your hardest choice of the week.
