I put The American Legion up there with any other nationally based non-profit dedicated to helping veterans and their families.  I am in the Sons of The American Legion and American Legion Riders and we raise our own money locally for local veteran causes.  These funds for the national site will go towards helping veterans all across the country.
The American Legion works with disabled veterans, deployed troops and their families, job hunters searching for rewarding careers that utilize their military experience, young people seeking mentors to teach them how to serve their communities, and the families of servicemembers who have made ...

Wonderful employees. Very helpful. John is excellent (ask for him!) Campground is nicely laid out with plenty of trees. They even had a movie night for the children Friday night outside on the basketball court. Did not get 5 stars because A) The bathhouse was a wreck. Old, very unclean and the men's toilet did not work correctly and, well, was gross. B) Any noise ordinances are not enforced. People playing basketball and shooting fireworks until nearly midnight. Otherwise, a good place to stay.
