In the area around Page Arizona, most of the real gems are hidden. Such is the case with Stud Horse Point. Stud Horse Point is one of the little known places overlooking Lake Powell and it has an amazing cluster of alien shapes of prehistoric pedestal rocks called Hoodoos. The structures here have large cap rocks standing tall inside a depression, close to the rim overlooking the valley. The rocks, seemingly defy the laws of gravity by balancing ...

I took this shot at the “House on Fire” in Mule Canyon, Utah. To get to this remote location, you first have to find and traverse a bumpy dirt road, then hike in about one mile along a stream. Well worth the effort I can honestly say that this was the most meaningful place that I have ever photographed…….a very spiritual experience. The Mule Canyon dwellings were built and occupied by the Anasazi Indians and are over 800 years old. If you plan ...

In San Diego, you can generally tell by the cloud formations during the day whether or not you will have good conditions for a colorful sunset. Recently, there have been beautiful clouds most of the day, and then near sunset, they all burn off leaving a clear sky. Not exactly ideal for a good sunset shot. This day however, the clouds rolled in and exploded with color as the sun set. Definitely up there with one of the most beautiful sunsets I hav...

Introduction

Based in Carlsbad California, Larry's photography primarily focuses on grand landscapes and long exposure seascapes. Living on the coast gives him an opportunity to shoot the beautiful Southern California sunsets, beaches, piers, and the rugged rocky coastline. He especially like shooting long exposures, sharply capturing the stationary elements of a scene while incorporating the moving elements such as clouds and rushing water. The resulting images are breathtaking and surreal. Larry's photography adventures take him to some of the most epic locations on the planet. He is constantly challenging himself to push his creative vision to capture the beauty in life.
