'Twas the week before Christmas
and high over the comet
Rosetta was happy – she knew Philae was on it.
The lander was sleeping, a crater his bed,
While visions of perihelion danced in his head.
He'd done his job well, he fulfilled every goal.
(It's not easy to land on a place darker than coal!)
And although he's gone quiet, his work nicely done,
Philae may wake again as his world nears the Sun.
So this holiday gaze up at the stars overhead,
And give thanks to the robots who explore in our stead!
Happy Holidays from Rosetta and Philae (with an adorable card from the +European Space Agency, ESA
and a little poem by yours truly!)
