I was so happy with my Mercedes dealership that when I traded in my SLK for a Land Rover, I wasn't sure of what to expect. I wasn't pressured or hounded, I was helped by a terrific guy named Noel, who put me into a wonderful Evoque. The dealership was friendly and welcoming, the customer service outstanding. I know I'll be back there when the time comes again to purchase a new car. Thank you so much Land Rover SD - excellent experience. I love being a part of your family!

Getting maintenance done at Land Rover San Diego will make you think twice about owning a Land Rover or Range Rover. Inflated service quotes prices --- I took my vehicle in for the first time since moving here for a simple 60k mile service and the saga began. First, they told me I needed almost $2k in additional work including $66 for a rear wiper blade ($18 at your local auto parts store), $44 for two license plate bulbs ($6 at the store), $306 for hood struts that worked fine when I dropped the vehicle off ($45 online), and the list continued. When I replaced the hood struts after receiving the order online, I noticed that both were bent... you be the judge. Quality of service --- When I picked up the vehicle, I realized they didn't put it back together. I had requested they investigate an issue with the rear wiper; they discovered a shorted motor. However, they didn't put the rear of the vehicle back together; the inside hatch covers were removed, the trunk panels were strewn about. Secondly, the vehicle seats were in various positions; i.e. fully reclined, back seat up... almost like they were in the middle of the job or someone had been sleeping in the front passenger seat (why else would it be fully reclined?). Finally, the hood struts were no longer operational and grease from the hinges / shocks was running down both sides of the vehicle. In order to make up for the poor service, they decided to send a driver to swap vehicles with me and take it back to the shop to put the vehicle back together and detail it. As far as the detail, the outside looks ok, but the inside looks like they just sprayed protectant on everything and forgot to wipe it down... there are spots all over the dash and seats now. Ironically, I continued to get emails from the dealer asking me to review their service on Google+, but to call the manager first if the service wasn't up to snuff. Well, I couldn't get an answer from my service writer for two weeks and he missed an appointment to pick up the vehicle at the one week point, so I called the manager... the manager wasn't available, but all of a sudden the service writer was available. Based on the difficulty of this experience and poor quality of first- and second-time service, I am compelled to provide a poor review and hope they do better next time. A friend suggested I report the situation to the California Bureau of Automotive Repair... I'll keep that for next time.

Exellent experience. I shopped around for 6+ months for the right car and deal. I worked with Matt Deep who was always professional and provided helpful information. There was no pressure involved and I ended up with the car I wanted.

We have always wanted a Range Rover. The experience we had just in visiting and taking a test drive was amazing! There is no pressure to do anything, but enjoy the car. The people were extremely helpful, nice, and very memorable. We returned the next week to pick up our dream car and are very happy!

Land Rover of San Diego Has Gone Down Hill When I first called, I was told that there was no one who could take my call but I could leave a voice message and someone would get right back to me. I did not get a call till 2 days later. At that time I scheduled an appointment for a service call and a malfunction of my backup sensors. This took one day and seamed to have gone smoothly, although a little expensive. For an oil change, tire rotation and filter swap it was a little over $700. They said there was nothing wrong with the backup sensors so they just realigned it and charged me $310. So when I got home and pulled into the driveway I noticed the sensors were not working. I called the next day and again was put into voicemail. Again, two days later I finally got a call back and they scheduled me to bring the car in again and offered to lend me a loaner for the day, as I had appointments for work. I got there after battling morning rush hour, and it is horrendous in that area, only to arrive and be told that they ran short of loaner cars. I was told to just go back to work and they would call me later when they had one. NOT what I expected when this was an appointment to fix what I had paid for and they obviously did not identify the problem nor correct nor fix the problem. The lack of attention to existing long term customers and complete lack of coordination by the dealership has made me decide that next time I will try another dealer that might have the ability to service properly. And, just got a call back a day after it was back in for the sensor repair and they replaced the part I asked them to replace the first time and charged me an additional $150 for a part you can purchase for $20 online. If you were a friend I would tell you not to use this dealership!

Buying a car is usually a hassle, long hours, and tedious! William Foster, made our experience enjoyable, smooth and accesible to what we wanted. We came out of the dealership more than happy with our purchase. Everyone was helpful, eager for us to be satisfied. A couple weeks after getting the car, my windshield unfortunately cracked, William was so so very helpful. He offered to contact my insurance, and get the glass replaced ASAP! Now that is great customer service.

Just moved to San Diego from Chicago so this was my first experience. Came in because we lost a box in our move and it had one of our smart keys inside. Came to Range Rover to help remedy the situation. The team needs more communication.Told each team member our story. They charged us for a new key and to program it (we needed another key so that's fine) but failed to tell me that the smart key lost, will still work too. So basically whoever finds my old key can just come and take my car when they figure out which car it belongs to. No one showed any concern or sympathy for this situation at all. Seems like I cannot be the only person ever to have gotten a key lost/stolen. There should be systems in place for when someone decides to buy a new key, right? Sales Associate Gabriel was supposed to figure out a solution and call me back.. its been one week and no response. Will not be returning again. And meanwhile I still have an active key floating around..

Had a great experience with a recent required service at LR of SD on my 2014 RR. Jason made sure I was well taken care of, followed up with me daily and actually went above and beyond in a few circumstances.
