MS is a dirty disease, so sometimes you’ve got to get just as down and dirty to take it on. That’s exactly what Muckin’ Lake Cable did recently when 30 of us joined nearly 3,000 fellow racers – er, muckers – at the Lake County Fairgrounds for 2017 MuckFest MS Chicago. Best of all, Lake Cable’s team raised $4,681.75 toward the National MS Society, making us one of the largest teams and fundraisers at the event: http://bit.ly/2yqiC1W

Congratulations, you muckers. We can’t wait to see how you top this next year.

In our latest article, we take an inside look at the new 50,000 square foot facility in our Bensenville location that’s accommodating all rewinding operations on 12 different machines as well as the 90,000 square foot warehouse in Elkhart that’s being used to draw copper.

A drain wire is “grounded” to dissipate unwanted electrical signals. When an aluminum mylar shield is used, a drain is a given for termination purposes. If the shield cracks or becomes severed, the drain wire on the outside of the shield will always maintain electrical continuity. So while there’s a little extra cost associated with drain wire, it can be well worth it for its superior current carrying capacity that frequently mitigates installation failure issues – saving you time and money in the end.
