#TBT @GoldCoastMag celebrates 50 years! http://ow.ly/Lj958
The Beginning. The story actually has two beginnings, very close to the same date, but 1300 miles apart. In the late winter of 1965, Yolanda Maurer, who had been a social writer for the old Fort Lauderdale News (now known as the Sun-Sentinel) launched a magazine in Fort Lauderdale.

No need to skip your workout on vacation. Try one of these #HIIT workouts when you hit the beach! @dailyburn http://ow.ly/LidCP
Tired of being cooped up inside? This summer, take these three HIIT workouts directly to the beach — no equipment required.

It is a very welcoming resort. Caribbean style. The service is excellent. It is a bit dark inside but that's OK. The beach is great. Wished they had a fancier pool like the ones found in Dominican republic if you can't go to the beach or something.

Was here several times since the 90's... has been renovated a few years ago. Had always a good time here. Nice pool & beach. Very quiet and family friendly.

Our active group of ten (6 adults, 3 teenagers, 1eleven yr old) were delighted with this facility. This is where a group like ours can share with each other various strengths such as tennis, chess, table tennis, beaching, swimming...with all of us benefitting. It's an unpretentious down-to-earth resort that provides an overall ambiance of "a good time for all. ". We loved it.

I have worked at the resort as a PBX operator in 2005, and I have nothing but wonderful memories . The service and all are top first class. You can't find better accommodation, and privacy.👍

Very relaxed and comfortable with great views and right on the beach. The service was outstanding and shows the great hiring practices and excellent training. 4 of us stayed with a large group before and after our cruise and we were all impressed with the food, pool, and service. I will be going back to stay and enjoy it for a full week.

We loved it even with an infant. This is the best resort in Fort Lauderdale. I'd recommend this resort for kids between the ages of 6 to 14. There's so much to keep them occupied. The pool, games, mini put, beach, sports area, soda shop...the list goes on was great. We checked in and didn't like our room because it was on a lower floor facing an open patio with no view. Ron the bellman called the front desk and had us moved to a higher floor. We were so much happier with our room. We wouldn't have cared but our 6 month old needed naps and early nights so a view was a must. The staff were great. Very friendly and professional. The food was incredible. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was a great breakfast buffet with an omelette bar and all the good stuff. The food is reasonably priced. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this resort.
