#TBT @GoldCoastMag celebrates 50 years! http://ow.ly/Lj958
The Beginning. The story actually has two beginnings, very close to the same date, but 1300 miles apart. In the late winter of 1965, Yolanda Maurer, who had been a social writer for the old Fort Lauderdale News (now known as the Sun-Sentinel) launched a magazine in Fort Lauderdale.

No need to skip your workout on vacation. Try one of these #HIIT workouts when you hit the beach! @dailyburn http://ow.ly/LidCP
Tired of being cooped up inside? This summer, take these three HIIT workouts directly to the beach — no equipment required.

My family stayed here for my graduation and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. They surprised us with champagne when they found out we were celebrating my graduation. We could not have asked for a better staff with a beautiful location. Amenities were great for the whole family!

The ONLY place to stay in Ft. Lauderdale- private beach, great resort amenities, extremely friendly staff and great proximity to downtown Ft. Lauderdale.

What a location! It has been my second time here, it feels like coming home to a family reunion. Space rooms very friendly staff and the location is great. Can't wait to go back again.

LagoMar resort has a non-modern, traditional look to it but is impeccably maintained and managed. I got the sense that it was a private run hotel which was a nice change from the typical chain hotel that dominates the travel scene now. The resort has its own private pool and beach area and did not feel "crowded" despite being fully booked. My favorite part of my stay was that there was no shortage of activities to do at the hotel for families and friends... I counted SEVEN activities on site: tennis, shuffle board, mini-golf, chess, foosball, ping pong, and volleyball

A fabulous site. A mix of a resort, hotel, and beach destination. A fabulous area for families with small children. An outside restaurant next to the pool with shuffle board, mini-golf, table tennis, ping-pong, human chess, and hammocks is a stunning inlay to the expansive beach and impending vast ocean. The rooms are quiet with traditional whisperings which please the visual palate. However, the service is second to none. Teams of employees are constantly working to provide a relaxing environment where adult banter and childrens' echos of screams reverberate with joy. Enjoy this fabulous beauty.

It is a very welcoming resort. Caribbean style. The service is excellent. It is a bit dark inside but that's OK. The beach is great. Wished they had a fancier pool like the ones found in Dominican republic if you can't go to the beach or something.
