a 9 year old tells us how to care for cats. First, get some cats, because you couldn't do it without cats.

The lovely folks at Groovy Kennel updated our window display last week - the beehive is proving to be popular!

Cats have a reputation for being aloof and distant... but is that fair? Our guest blogger, Tash, doesn't think so! http://ow.ly/pKD7B

Absolutely loved it! An amazing experience. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming! They told me everything about each cat :) I really enjoyed playing with cats, very fun and relaxing experience. P.s. food is very nice too. Thanks!

I was expecting a lot from this place but I was unfortunately let down. There were few overly-pampered, standoffish cats, occupying far too large a space. If you’re going to have hardly any cats, the place should not be spread out on two floors. I think I saw three cats the whole time I was there, which was very disappointing. However, staff just make matters worse. Though I had a nice waitress, there was one member of staff in particular (the girl with black and blue hair) who treated the cats like Gods and the human customers like really dumb, two year olds. Not only that, but she dominated the attention of the cats and made all the customers feel uncomfortable when they dared to approach the cats. It was an awkward experience, and a room full of cat-lovers who presumably had come to play with some cats, remained uncomfortably seats the whole time. One star.

I've been to the cafè and i was so happy and pleased. Animals are treated really well and interact beautifully with the people. Staff is nice and always ready to give you explanations and fun facts about the cats and how to play with them and how to treat them. I'll surely come back again even because i fel in love with a few of them already!!!

Lady Dinah's is an absolute haven. Have visited a number of times, most recently for Cat Yoga. I have especially found the staff to be friendly and happy to answer any questions, and they will give you tips on interacting with the cats (if awake) as they know them and their favourite toys / scratching positions well! The tea and cake selection is brilliant and the vegan options are a real bonus making a vegan treat easier and easier to get. It's super clean too. Most importantly the welfare of the cats is top priority; consequently, the cats are happy and either snoozing, adding to the calm relaxing atmosphere, or playing delightfully. This cat cafe is wonderful!

Had a really relaxed atmosphere. Plus seeing a cat using an exercise wheel was a novel experience. They were very cute, even if the time I went at half of them were nodding off! The bits I had to eat and drink were nice and the staff friendly.

The purrfect spot for a relaxed, cosy cup of tea - I really love Lady Dinah's. The staff are super kind and fun, happy to engage you in furry residents talk, and it's just very evident that the cats are well cared for, loved and the top priority. Happy, playful, curious, snoozy, gorgeous, lounging little fluffy heart stealers. One of these days Wookie will be awake when I pop by. ;)

I had a perfectly pleasant afternoon enjoying tea, cake and the company of some lovely cats. The cats do their thing, which is to sleep, eat, groom and walk around. They don't seem terribly interested in the visitors but this is typical cat behaviour! They appear to be very well looked after and the cafe setting is cosy. Staff are helpful and friendly and we enjoyed some delicious cakes. If you have a cat crazy friend, a visit here would make a lovely birthday present!
