Great video - those unsuspecting people are set to become stars ;)

Cats have a reputation for being aloof and distant... but is that fair? Our guest blogger, Tash, doesn't think so! http://ow.ly/pKD7B

a 9 year old tells us how to care for cats. First, get some cats, because you couldn't do it without cats.

Me and my girlfriend attended today. It was a lovely atmosphere with a cute little menu. The staff were lovely and encouraged the cats to interact with us. The cats were happy and relaxed. If you love Cats this is perfect for you! Also love the fact that the cats are from rescue shelters!

This was a major disappointment. After reading the website guidelines about cat etiquette and expecting a really relaxed atmosphere, we were seriously disappointed. The entire staff spend their time playing with and riling up the cats, even though they explicitly tell you, the paying customer, not to do that. Basically everything you can't do (and shouldn't because it's bad for the cats), the staff do anyhow because "they know more about cats"- like wake up a sleeping cat or chase them around the room when they want to be alone. Instead of allowing the guests to just enjoy the cat's company, the staff monopolize their time and then explain cat behavior as if their customers have never been around an animal before. It was so obnoxious, and it was exactly the opposite of what the cafe promised. I really don't recommend the spot unless you want to be monitored by some obnoxious, know-it-all staff who are guilty of harming their own cats' welfare.

Had a lovely trip to Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium at this St Valentines. Drinks and food were absolutely deliscious, while the lovely cats kept us entertained despite the early morning. And while we didnt see Biscuit due to prolonged cat-nap, it was a pleasant visit, so we will definitely come back again!

I went back in the summer to this cafe and I am re-visiting today! I am also hoping to visit it next year as well. Staff: The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. They were very clear about what to expect and what not to do with the cats. I was fine with giving them a £5 cover charge, as it helps with the cats well-being. The staff were knowledgeable about each cat there and were happy to give out information to one of the costumers that didn't know/want to know. I had a very enjoyable time speaking to one of the staff about my two cats at home and allowed us to give some of the cats a treat! Food: I ordered a hot chocolate and a chocolate cake which were lovely. The hot chocolate had a cat face design in it, which I found very cute. The cake was nice and rich and filled me up for my two hour visit. (The visits are now 90 minutes) I would like to point out, some people may find the cake too rich, but I am normally okay with eating rich cakes and treats. They have a range of cakes and sweets to pick from and a fitting drinks menu that covered most needs. The food is a bit pricey, but the quality is worth the price. Place: The place has a range of seats and tables to chose from. We were on the bottom floor, which had tables, chairs and sofas. There was a fancy atmosphere to the place and the cafe overall was kept clean and tidy. The place had suitable hiding places for the cats, as well as places that costumers could walk over to and spend time with the cats. As they only let a certain number of people in at a time, you won't be feeling overcrowded and find it easy to freely move about to change seats or just to find a cat. Cats: They are 10 cats in the cafe and they are all very friendly. When we arrived most of the cats were asleep and a few were at the cafe window having a nose around the street. After having our drinks and cakes, some of the cats were wondering around and were comfortable with us approaching them and giving stokes. The cats are used to human contact and approached us and allowed us to brush their fur. All the cats had soft, shining fur and were at healthy weight. They're plenty of toys in the cafe, which you are free to pick up and interact with the cats with. The cats are very cute and energetic when playing and are not camera shy! These cats are free to do what cats do and seem happy with their lifestyle. What to expect: Cats sleep for the majority of the day, so I recommend visiting the cafe during the evening, when cats become more active. You have to expect some of cats will be asleep for your whole visit and others won't. Some of the cats might not want to play with their toys, so will show no interest in playing with you, however this may change over your visit. Cats are curious, so don't be alarmed if you see one trying to get out of the cafe, this is natural cat behaviour. As cats use their nose much more then we do, as you approach a cat, stick out your hand (or make a fist) and let the cat smell you before giving it a stroke, this lets the cat know who you are and makes them more comfortable with your presence. You have to remember, cats are very free with their nature and will do as they please, so when they let you stroke them or approach you, you will know that is what they want to do!

Very cute cafe - cats seem very well fed and looked after, if a bit sick of all the constant human attention! Food was great (warm chocolate brownie with salted caramel - yum!) but if you're expecting the cats to be all over you you will probably leave disappointed. Still an enjoyable way to spend 90 minutes!

So much fun, a great way to spend a few hours! I've been twice now and each time have very much enjoyed the mountain of cake and kittens running around is an added bonus. Also recommend grabbing snakes and ladders - had forgotten how much fun it can be. Book way ahead, or keep an eye on twitter for last minute cancellations.

I recently attended a pet first aid course at Lady Dinah's. The staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming, and the cats were content and visibly well cared for. The cafe was a little cosier than I had anticipated, but had a lovely quirky atmosphere. I have noticed some negative reviews referring to the cats being "disinterested" and "asleep most of the time" - to those complainants: you do know what a cat is, right? ;)

I loved the idea of Lady Dinah's but was very disappointed in reality. The cats all seemed pretty fed up with people trying to constantly play with them and pet them. We were told not to play with the cats when asleep but lots of people ignored this which seemed pretty cruel. The staff member working didn't seem too bothered by this. The tea was nice and the cakes are tasty but if you like cats don't expect too much.
