The lovely folks at Groovy Kennel updated our window display last week - the beehive is proving to be popular!

Hi Nadia,

the age limit is mentioned on our Bookings page: ladydinahs.com/bookings/ and our Booking FAQs page http://ladydinahs.com/booking-faqs/

We also mention it during the booking process, the age limit is listed in the Terms and Conditions, which must be accepted when booking  and is also mentioned in the confirmation emails when you place a booking. We are very up-front about this restriction.

Very unpleased to discover the access is forbidden under age 12 once I was there. When I expressed my surprise of not having read this on the site, the young man asserted that it definitely was. I have since read the site over again and can find NO mention of such condition terms.

A really interesting experience and a fun concept. The food and coffee was great and the service was amazing. I'll have to note you're not guaranteed to play with the cats as the cafe has numerous of visitors everyday and has to have some set rules for the cats' privacy, although you might be lucky and find a playful and cuddly cat while there. Absolutely worth a visit, although you should probably book in advance as it's a popular venue.

TL;DR/ mobile version: A very nice place. the food and the drinks were impressive. Be careful what time you book, as cats might be asleep. Full version: -we made a booking for 2:30pm We booked High Tea birthday special menu, so we received a very nice tiered platter with unlimited 'refills' of food and drinks. -The food: ranged from quiche and sandwiches to macaroons and the classic scones. I particularly liked the quiche, so I would highly recommend it. - drinks: I ordered the Lady Dinah's Special blend tea which is only available with the High Tea menu. I would say the money was worth it even if only for the tea. Also tried the lime and lemongrass Belvoir which I was truly impressed with. - atmosphere/cats: the café was fairly quiet, with mild conversations that could be heard in the distance. The music was relaxing and very appropriately picked. We were told while being there that the cats had just had lunch slightly earlier, so most of them were asleep. Towards the end of the booking, some of the cats started waking up so they could be interacted with. If you would like to enjoy the cafe and the presence of the cats in the background, I would say any time would be good for booking. If you would like to play with the main characters (the cats), I would advise you avoid the 2:30pm timeslot, as they might not be interested in humans. - staff: very friendly. Served promptly and asked several times (without being disruptive) if we would like any refills or needed to ask any other questions. Overall a very good experience. I will definitely book again.

Great atmosphere, great food, great cats. Had High Tea here with a friend to celebrate my birthday and certainly don't regret it. The food was wonderful and the cats are clearly well loved, well cared for and very happy.

Great afternoon tea with nice biscuits, cookies and scones with free refills of everything you want. Lovely staff. The cats are a very nice backdrop. Be advised that they might be busy being cats.

Visited this quaint cat emporium yesterday as a Birthday Treat organised by my daughters. Tucked away amongst a variety of shops in Shoreditch you actually cannot miss it as displaying themselves in the window on an array of tiers of comfort are some of its residents. We were greeted by happy relaxed staff and welcomed into an area of 'home' to Peter, Wendy and Tink, and their friends. The selected 'High Tea' was lovely with refills, and we probably overstayed our time slot a little as we were so comfortable, and enjoying the ambience of the place. The cats were friendly, and added something really special to the afternoon. Thank you, we will return to see you all again, both staff, and of course cats x

What a great place to visit! If you need a cat fix, this is the place for you. Reserve in advance so you have time to leisurely enjoy the space and the cats. We even got to see Victor, a 3-month old rescue and potential shop cat, while we were there. He as absolutely adorable. The food is good as well. If you have friends who are hesitant to join you because they're worried about cats and what goes along with indoor cats in a place where food is served, I can assure you they'd never know so many cats lived in this place by the aroma. It just smells like food!

I loved this cafe' and its relaxing atmosphere. The cats are lovely and they look like they really enjoy the environment. The staff was really friendly too. I visited the cafe for lunch and we ordered a salad and a bagel + pumpkin loaf and red velvet cake + white tea and coffee..everything was delicious and affordable. We will definitely visit Lady Dinah's again, we had such a lovely time.

Having been gifted a VIP card I was really excited to visit Lady Dinah's, however I was left feeling somewhat disappointed after my visit. We were given the small table in the corner which was fine, however it was right next to the door where the cats were not allowed, so they were often ushered away from us. We understood there was a 'what to expect' section on the website, and as cat owners ourselves we know how much they like to sleep, however we were quite surprised to only see 2-3 cats downstairs, all of whom were asleep the vast majority of the time. The food was nice however it was disappointing that we had to remind them, after they had given us the bill, to give us 10% off (as a VIP). Wouldn't rush back in a hurry.
