"The time to commit was yesterday. You see, time does this thing where it impatiently waits on no one. The economy is slowing down, and the environment is being degraded at a n increasing rate. The government needs to act now and act swiftly." ~ +Dizzanne Billy

pretty please?

almost one year after this was written.. "We are at a crossroads and genuine political will and action is needed for transformation to occur. This action needs to break barriers and reach for higher heights. Perhaps falling fuel prices may cause us to refocus on a different energy – renewable energy."
fingers crossed trying to remain hopeful...hopefully our leaders have an epiphany

"Let us not be left behind Trinidad and Tobago. As a highly industrialised country in the Caribbean and a contributor to global emissions of GHGs and climate change we need to accept our responsibility. Do you want clean and safe air? ....it is time to put your money where your footprint is" ~ +Dizzanne Billy

Princess Diaz, a student of Roanoke College will be leading a service trip to Nicaragua in January 2017. She is being joined by 7 other students on this trip. The purpose of this service trip is to build a playground in a small rural community in Nicaragua.

Princess is currently seeking financial support in order to cover the costs of the trip. The costs includes the costs of materials for the playground, and for room and board for the students for the week.

The inception for this project stemmed from Princess falling in love with the country after a leisure visit earlier in 2016. Her love for this country is such that when I asked her if she considered asking Nicaraguan businesses to provide sponsorship for things like transportation, room and board, and materials, she responded that she preferred to spend the money and help stimulate the economy. She and her colleagues will be staying with residents and paying for their room and board, as well as hiring someone to cook for them. If this doesn't show her passion for the people of Nicaragua, I don't know what will.

Please, if you can donate anything at all, please do....every little bit truly does count :)
