The G3 is a great phone. However the audio seems not to have received the same attention as the screen, which is disappointing given the sophistication and the price of the device.
The sound is "clogged" even through high quality earphones and it needs to be opened up by acting upon the mid-high frequency range. Also the volume output is too weak.
Considering that most people consume media using earphones, what's the point with having a 1watt external speaker when the earphone sound quality is not on par with other devices?
Taking the "Apple sound" as term of comparison, even the iPad mini sounds much better than the G3.
Therefore, there's still a lot of work to do in this area.
