It is the summer house of the excentric composer Ole bull (born 5. februar 1810 i Bergen, deceaced 17. august 1880 Lysøen ved Bergen) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ole_Bull
. He is known for both composing, and also for buying a rather large pice of land in Pennsylvania, naming it after important places and figures, like Oleanna, new bergen and new norway. He bougth several properties in norway, this was his summer home, and was, and still is used for musical performancec.
