Artist, writer, keeper of cats, I live and work in a small resident studio in suburban Seattle, WA.
Born and brought up in southwestern Pennsylvania, in and around Pittsburgh, I developed a love for all things rusty, ragged, and in interesting states of decrepitude. You'll see that influence often in my art. I moved from Pittsburgh to Seattle in 1997 and now consider myself a fairly typical Pacific Northwesterner.
I'm a social liberal who embraces civil discourse and economic moderation, a self-described word-nerd with two degrees in English. I am a card-carrying member of the Academy of American Poets. I'm also a secular humanist, but I do not suffer fools gladly.
