The salad was ill-conceived at best, but it was the date-rape jokes the waiter made to a woman in our party that really pushed me into writing this review. As someone who eats vegan, I'm used to their not being much on the menu for me to eat. This place got extra-ridiculous. I ordered a salad described thusly: LOCAL BIBB LETTUCE, CELERY ROOT, CARROTS, BEETS, BUTTERMILK DRESSING and requested a balsamic dressing instead of the buttermilk. Sounds decent enough. What arrived was approximately four triangles of marinated yellow beet surrounding a pile of overly-wet coleslaw, topped with a stack of whole leaves of bibb lettuce (literally stacked up like they were accompanying lettuce wrap filling) all drizzled with the balsamic. Perhaps I'm just not fancy enough, but eating a stack of bibb lettuce from a plate exactly the size of said lettuce is a special dining challenge. A dining challenge what was underneath the lettuce failed to make worth my while. Again, when I dine with a large group, I'm used to small meals of side salads or maybe bread. My complaint is with both the contents and quality of the salad and with the wholly inappropriate spiky-haired person who delivered it. Note: suggesting to women that you might "Cosby" their drink is not a great way to operate.

Great decor, wonderful service. Arrived 30 minutes before closing after a travel day and the staff happily seated us without a wait. Ordered the burger, softshell clam blt, and a French 75. Food was good but didn't impress us enough to want to return with so many other options.

Okay. We came to Luke after enjoying the Marseilles's at Snug Harbor. The place is big and loud and overwhelming but the service and food are impeccable. 4 of us had a dozen oysters and shared the schnitzel and the waitstaff split the schnitzel 4 ways. I swear it was 4 orders - and the wait staff delighted in our awe. Cannot recommend enough.

We had a fabulous ladies brunch here. The brussels sprouts were so so good and I loved the fried chicken and biscuit. Portions were large. The staff was very professional and accommodating and made our group feel special.

My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary on a trip to New Orleans and took in happy hour at Luke's - nothing short of amazing! From the house brew's to the delicious breaded deep fried oysters and the freshest chilled oysters on the half shell I have ever had anywhere in the US, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. Next time we are travelling through New Orleans, stopping @ Luke's is a MUST!!

Anniversary dinner was amazing! We were treated to champagne and Brussel Sprouts that were delicious and the rabbit pate was sinfully good. My steak was like butter and the crab was just the icing on the cake! Our servers made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant and they were beyond friendly and helpful with their suggestions. Definitely worth every penny!

We visited New Orleans the weekend of the 20th for my bachelorette festivities. Our server Elliotte was top notch. I ordered the crab omelette with wild mushrooms, with a side of the jalepeno & Rosemary grits, and bacon. I can honestly say that this is the slowest that I have ever consumed a meal. I wanted my meal to last. It was simply amazing!!! Every bite tasted like excellence. We were able to sit by the window near the kitchen & we watched how they carefully prepared each meal. At the end of our breakfast, we gave them a high five through the glass windows & we were truly impressed. I truly wish that I could have this meal at least once a month. Thank you, this was a wonderful way to end my bachelorette weekend with the ladies. 😍😁💜

Overpriced and mediocre fare for New Orleans. Good cocktails. Server made Cosby jokes about giving the women at our table roofies. Not kidding.
