Here's a post I wrote detailing my approach to legal blogging.
It's an awesome time to be a lawyer. We have exclusive access to legal research tools, like Westlaw and LexisNexis, and most legal questions don't have well-written answers online. So, for now, lawyers are the gatekeepers of answers to legal questions. To make things even better, most lawyers ...

Yesterday, I had opposing counsel in one of my cases ask me to fax him a document because he was concerned about the security of his e-mail server. It didn't make much sense because this document isn't privileged, but I complied because I really don't care in this situation. In most cases I wouldn't want to ruin the quality of a document. What do you guys do in this situation? Do you have any secure methods of sending documents to people? I've resorted to sending password-protected PDFs in the past, but it'd be nice if there was a better solution.

Also, when e-mailing clients, do you always advise them first about the security risks of e-mails?

+Jay Brinker I read your comment about #Telex and I seriously laughed out loud. I wonder how many people even know what a telex was and yet it wasn't that long ago that was the fastest way of written communication.

Have any of you tech-savvy WordPress-based lawyers ever tried WP-Client? If so, how has it worked out for you?

I'm thinking about giving it a shot for incoming clients. It might be a cool way to transfer files, provide clients with status updates, and to make clients feel included in a sort of members-only way upon retaining your services. I'm not sure how much better it'll work than simply corresponding by e-mail, but it appears to have additional security benefits and concentrates all communications and files in a single location for both parties to access 24/7.

Joanna was awesome. I'm not always the most photogenic guy, but Joanna took some of the best pictures I've ever seen. Seriously, they should be in a magazine or something. Everyone in my family raved about how Joanna's pictures were the best wedding pictures they've ever seen. Joanna was worth every penny. I should add, Joanna really faded into the background during the wedding ceremony and reception. She let us focus on the experience while still getting some incredible shots. So, I was amazed at how great she was at striking the right balance between letting us enjoy the experience and preserving the experience. I feel like if I'm ever in an argument with my wife, all we would have to do is look at the pictures Joanna took to help remind us why we're together. I can't praise her enough.
